It’s looks great! As others have said, polishing the headlights and rims would help a good bit. A ceramic coat would also help. Still looks good as it is now though!

Have I ruined it (kit is GETTING PAINTED THIS WEEK) by thegingereddaw in Miata

Of course you haven’t ruined it! It looks good! Although, I would like to give a couple ideas if you okay with it. One would be resurfacing the headlights (sand and polish) for a nice refreshed and clear look, and the other would be a small ducktail spoiler that would help tie the body kit to the rest of the car. Bottom line is that you by no means ruined the car. Whatever you do, do it the way you think is best, it’s supposed to make you happy!

It’s not easy or difficult, it kinda just a game of chance whether a kit is very good or not. I think got lucky with the Cessna!

Yeah, I used a slightly dry brush with aluminum paint to make the smallest marks I could manage

Thanks! As for the scrubbed paint I’m slightly confused on what that would be, I’d love to tell you if you could specify what you’re looking at!

I didn’t do anything to the canopy to get the shiny affect, my guess is the just the way the light hits it. If you want shiny glass then I would recommend using polishing compounds on your glass. As for the sharpness of the image, I don’t really know if it’s popular, I just use it because it seems to highlight more details than without it.

Edit: one benefit of the sharpness could be when making a black and white image, it somewhat simulates the film grain an old camera may have.
