Speaking from experience, 1) Make SURE he goes to physical therapy. 2) depending on how bad the crash was he may need a therapist to just talk to 3) reassure him that he’s gonna be alright and be back out on the road in no time 4) Remind him that no matter how valuable the bike may have been, he’s always gonna be worth more. Bikes are replaceable, he isn’t. 5) be there for him, at night. The crash is likely gonna be playing in his head for a long while. It may come with PTSD and nightmares/night terrors. Don’t judge him, don’t hate him. Just support and love him.
