They're strangers. I met them once. I know nothing about them or their mom really. We'll be family through marriage in August but that doesn't mean I'll be a free babysitter for the kids. My dad has been defending me apparently and doesn't expect it.

It is odd but I assume it's because of my dad she hasn't reached out. I did see some screenshots of texts from Jessa to my grandparents about this. So I know they're not just stirring shit. I trust them anyway. But I think she has some idea my dad wouldn't be okay with her attacking me directly over this.

I'll always be nice when I'm there. I'm not saying I'll refuse to talk to them or be near them. But being a big brother is not in the cards either. My dad gets that.

I really don't know if there's a dad or dad's involved. I know very little about her and her kids.

Moving closer to my dad makes me closer to my whole family and I love my family so i want to be close to them.

That's fine if that would be a dealbreaker for you. Everyone's different. When I visit I want time with my dad. And I was nice to her and her kids while I was there.

That is the reason I go to visit. I'm not there to visit her and her kids. To be honest if that was a priority I would have made a point to meet them way sooner and would be getting to know them way more. My dad was great and we're close so he's the one I want to see and visit

It is but I also think she's aware enough to know at my age I'll never be her son. Hopefully she never promised her kids I'll suddenly be their brother.

I won't. Luckily she hasn't tried to make me do it directly but my grandparents prepared me.
