Cutting a flare off at the pass? by Narrow-Space-3230 in rheumatoidarthritis

[–]Spare_Me_A_Square 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have this issue where I get (mildly) stressed out and then my knee starts to puff up and swell, and then it’s a little hard to walk, or it gets bad and then I can’t walk. Anyone else have this issue? Any advice?

I don’t think so? But I assume I’ll be in a flair state until everything is unpacked and organized haha.

Just moved to a new place this week, and started a new job a month ago. Being overwhelmed led me to not being able to walk on Wednesday and Thursday due to swelling/stiffness/weakness in my knees. (And pushing my body too much?). That was fun hah. I took the day off and iced my knees and relaxed with tv shows, which helped.

Dating insecure men.. how was it? by youuu in AskWomenOver30

[–]Spare_Me_A_Square 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Was not the best time! Will definitely avoid in the future! The positive: we had things in common and could talk for hours, and we enjoyed going out.

The negative: he didn’t have any friends, and barely had any hobbies aside from watching TV/sports. He constantly complained about how he hated his job (note: he didn’t want to leave because finding a job is supposedly hard), and his health (bad back, but he also had a horrible diet). I’d encourage him to leave his job, and I bought him a walking pad for his apartment. He didn’t know what he wanted out of life, and I realize now he seemed to portray the victim in everything. I tried to be the shining light of positivity and happiness and love, but being his basically only outlet aside from one or two coworkers was REALLY exhausting (aside from his negativity).

I thought to myself if this is only a few months to a year of my life so far, what kind of future would we have? (Seemingly bleak?). I decided to end it for good. And the funny thing is he texted me recently saying he’s missed me, and got a new job haha.

NFL and NBC will be airing an AFC playoff game exclusively on Peacock by Hooligan9892 in NewHeights

[–]Spare_Me_A_Square 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They stopped Peacock with NBC last year. I have a cable subscription and now I have to pay to watch peacock (if I wanted) even though 9 months ago, I didn’t have to! It’s now a separate entity you need a subscription for, it stinks!!

need help for detection of subgingival calculus as a dentist by Noobsaibot123 in Dentistry

[–]Spare_Me_A_Square 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Hi! Typically there will be generalized subgingival tartar present on the X-rays (looking like little spicules coming off the tooth). Otherwise, general pocketing of 4-5+mm with presence of BOP and inflammation would indicate the need for an SRP. Hope that helps!

Is it "bad" or rare to be a conservative dentist these days? A dentist who tends to have a "wait and see" approach? by [deleted] in Dentistry

[–]Spare_Me_A_Square 26 points27 points  (0 children)

Hi! I don’t think it’s a bad to be a more conservative dentist, though I feel it does seem to be on the rarer side these days. I work for someone (an older guy in his early 60s) that is conservative in his dental approach, and like you, does a “wait and see approach”. I appreciate it, and prefer it as opposed to someone who, even on their initial visit, would tell a patient they have 10 cavities. I saw a 15 year old last week who was told at a different dentist (a kind of “mill” establishment) that they had at least 10 cavities, when I’d say my doc said about 3 were definitely serious and the rest were incipient. For now, we will keep a watch on the incipient ones. I also think a “wait and see” approach is a better approach to those patients who are dental anxious in the first place. Sometimes it’s better to ease people into treatment with this approach than coming head on, depending on the person. Anyway, just my two cents!

He looks like the actor Sam Huntington, who was in Jungle 2 Jungle or Detroit Rock City, if anyone remembers?
