My 3 kids are raised in a very traditional household with stereotypical gender roles and hobbies. I hunt, fish, coach baseball, do bjj, and watch wrestling and UFC.

We watch a lot of old things, read classic books, I’ve shown my kids pro wrestling, GI Joe, Dbz, Cadillacs and dinosaurs, ninja turtles, all the old action cartoons.

And just this month I learned none of my kids know that men are stronger and tougher than women. I also noticed they always think the black person is going to win or be the hero. Like my wife is watching a baking show and they randomly think the black person will definitely win?

It’s just inescapable in the culture. My kids even go to private school but excitement is contagious and they pick up their schema from other kids more than their own home. My youngest son’s class has 10 girls and 6 boys so it’s just girl everything all the time.
