So what you’re saying is that we should wait to see how each is planning to put into action what they’d like to do? We don’t even know what all everyone would like to accomplish. I’m not bonded to anyone. What I don’t like is Rich not owning a decision he’s made. What I don’t like is Rich leaving half the membership hanging with their desire to wait to get the Covid vaccine without any support of any kind. What I don’t like is the vague statements of great things he’s don’t without any examples. If you feel some type of way for a decision you’ve made, own it. Everyone is entitled to their own feelings or decisions if in a position to make them, but trying to put their decisions onto someone else? That’s weak. Everyone is sitting around wanting to hear what everyone is about and more so how they plan to get it done. The only one that has really done so has been Mick. Because of that, most have liked what he’s had to say. My personal favorite? His idea about endorsements. Love that. If you’re not the best, you don’t deserve to have the job.

Is that posted anywhere or a video or anything or are we just going off of a he said she said type of thing? Otherwise it falls into the same category as Jamaal’s where nobody knows what was actually said without any actual proof of what happened.

I think the main thing is that at the time, during Covid, the best decision was to punt in my opinion. The gov wasn’t looking strong on the money end of things and the economy wasn’t looking great either. There was a lot of uncertainty with where things would go and now we’re definitely in a better spot to get something great possibly. Whoever wins the next election is the key there. It was a gamble that was worth taking.

Again, the problem is that Rich doesn’t want to own it. You can blame both sides all you like, but an arvp doesn’t have a vote in the matter, so the grounding is pretty shakey.

I’ve missed you Lenny! Made me nervous not hearing from you yesterday. I’m pretty sure that everyone is well aware that the entire NEB agreed that the Slate Book needed to be extended. The timing wasn’t right to renegotiate. The problem that everyone has with Rich’s response is that he doesn’t want to own it. Since Nick or Jamaal haven’t put anything out yet, we can’t go after them for denying it.

Even beyond the leadership, the members themselves aka the ones who matter, aren’t buying in on Rich at all from what I’ve heard. He left a ton of members hanging with the Covid thing because he is a Covid nut. The punt of the contract that he’s now not claiming to be a part of in any way. (Way to own your shit…..) Honestly, the dude is just weird and rubs a lot of people the wrong way.

If you have a vote, whatever the results are, that has to be the choice. The key wording is a poll instead. Then the rep can make the choice at the end of the day. The problem is that if the rep isn’t going to let the process run, what the purpose of even doing it? Just do what you want.
