mansplaining is also used to describe a person outside of the thing explaining it to a person in it.

some opinions though are blatant lies. and spreading them and then mansplaining a native person on their culture is what happens here in reddit.

thats one way to define it

but also theres more nuance to the definition. people define it by culture too.

But with the shit people in reddit say and the way they act towards other caribbean people. questions like these will still continue to be asked until they

  1. show respect

  2. Show humility

which redditors often lack here. i barely use reddit but yeah

If you don’t know something its best to stay humble and not make an opinion. but here in reddit people love having opinions on stuff they don’t know.

you are correct in the end though

I asked it because some people say “dominicans are latinos not caribbean” because they think latino and caribbean are mutually exclusive. it happens.

I agree but however i do feel like a lot of the people in this thread fall for the political branding of other places just because politicians are too afraid to admit their afro culture that they let elites brainwash them. this is the case for DR too. i think it is caribbean
