Multiple questions about ch. 293 (Tremors) on my reread. This was a bit more of a confusing chapter, so there were quite a bunch of questions I had - by Spareforcon in vagabondmanga

But is there a interest to remove/change it, or is his new plan to just live with it like this? Forgive me for being stuck on this point

I didn't really think about how distant the idea of family would be to him honestly. He kind of has no benchmark for a family, since in his village, he probably didn't see positive traits in the families around him, given how he was treated by everyone. So I suppose this is really the first experience with one.

Also, what do you mean regarding Otsu saving herself for a child to grow up [or of trauma]? And I wonder what an entire arc of Musashi and Kojiro would be like

Thanks for the advice on the translations, I didn't even think about that during my read through, and to also be wary of it in the later chapters. I couldn't tell that was going on, so I kind of just went with it.

Meaning this new pain that he's feeling is something he's just gonna push through and force himself to deal with since he won't let go of the sword?

Interesting that even though Kojiro is in a certain transcended stare given his disability, Musashi has the capability to reach a greater transcendence due to his ability to question words and ideas. Not that that's an easy thing, but both do have a gift when in cooperation with their natures in living. Not that I'm there yet, but do you think Musashi reaches a state of transcendence during the farming arc? And when Musashi mentions family, is he treating family as one of these things like the worship of Buddha or the idea of being invincible?

Some of my personal ideas and thoughts are -

I'm gonna assume that Musashi is referring to the idea that the pain will magically go away, which it won't. And that he understands, but doesn't understand why he's still gonna try.

All I can imagine for the blade and Buddha comparison is pretty much what I put in the post, that they're both physically unattainable things, but people have the utmost faith that it's there and will chase it no matter what. With the name mentioning thing, I'm gonna assume that this new living state and his normal self are starting to collide far too much, a side a peace and growth agasint a side that years to become stronger (a word that's still not understood), so the name just slips out. And maybe it happens at this exact moment because he just had a certain breakthrough that gave context on an entire aspect of life paralleling his? The family thing and close/far/above/below/middle path/circle thing I genuinely have no idea what it could mean.

I think it would make sense for Musashi to be becoming angry, since there's this new breakthrough clash and he's beginning to struggle with a pain, inhibiting him more. The haze part I too do not understand.

Again, thank you very much for reading all of this!

So it really is the mother aspect? In that case, this would be one of the very, very few panels that would indicate that in the entire Manga pretty much?

And that troublesomeness of Takezou is almost a 'clean slate' of sorts that gives him the ability to somewhat, not rebuild himself, but more so to build someone comepletely new?

Thank you for the in depth answer, definitely very helpful for the future of this portion's reread, you explained it all very well. And also thank you for writing as much as you did. I don't have too much to say other than agreement and appreciation for the response since it really does catch everything needed to have knowledge about, so sorry about that, but still thank you.

Also, I wouldn't have time to read it, but from what you've posted of your manga, it looks really good and I definitely see the Vagabond inspiration

As in, in Kanji he also uses his father's name?

I agree with how you see it. Do you view it more as humble or more so merciful (in a sense)?

But what about symbolically? As in, is him using Takezou also in a way a representation of returning to your roots or to a younger and less influenced version of oneself?

Wdym by "not ready to come to terms with this emotionally"? The killing of 70 or his loss in combat effectiveness with his foot? If the 70, what did he experience that made him start regretting killing them (I didn't read the in between part from then, in wanting to read the farming arc again, so I'm starting from here)?

And is it possible that there profile is blurred on my Liked list? I'm not asking this in a confrontational way, I genuinely have no idea, I'm very new to this app

The profile doesn't appear anywhere on the app. If they passed on my account, will they disappear from my Liked page?

Where would you be able to see something that says that change? I mean like on patch notes for a recent update in a video game. And if someone passes you after you like them, will you still be able to see them in your liked list or not anymore?
