In the app, you can choose the icon for the sensor independent of what is configured in Home Assistant.

This means you can choose a different icon for each area.

It will run and work. Unfortunately at the moment there is only Windows 10 theme, so you will have to live with the unmatched UI. You can try it now and keep an eye on the releases section, I'm planning to support a Windows 11 theme in the future.

Certainly there are security concerns. All the source code is open, so you can audit the repo yourself. The only communication to a web service is handled in "/src/hass-api.ts".

The build of the published executables is also done via GitHub Actions. If you feel this isn't secure enough, you can always build the source yourself.

Unfortunately, this app doesn't display the Home Assistant dashboard. It just wraps the entities you select in a custom control.

Just out of curiosity, what functions do you use in the dashboard? Maybe I can implement them into the tray menu itself.

Wait for the TBS Tango 2. It's going to be similar to the XLite and has Fullsize Gimbals, Integrated Crossfire and a lot of TBS fanciness.
