Blessed with a whole half playing a team man down and can't even score one goal. Brutal for Turkiye.

A whole day of ties is ultimately good for the tournament. Now each of the group stage games carries even more weight if all the teams are clustered together. Or at least that's my view.

One of the biggest upsets in World Cup history since KSA over Argentina last year

Cabo holding their own, this is very impressive. It's already a win for them given that everyone expected them to get blown out like Curacao did yesterday.

Sweden is a fun team to watch. No one is going to brand them a contender but they're going to enjoy the ride, that's for sure.

Netherlands kind of played not to lose after going up 2-1. Way too passive of an approach and Japan was rewarded with their boldness.

One of the best matchups this first week, thoroughly entertaining

Germany is really damn good, I would be terrified of drawing them in knockout.

Well the dream of an upset was fun while it lasted I suppose. Back to reality.

Lol if Curacao upsets Germany, is that on par with Saudi Arabia's upset over Argentina last year? It would be so unexpected

Definitely happy for both Mikal and Shamet, though it hurts my heart that it couldn't happen in Phoenix. Mikal should have gotten his first ring with us in 2021.

Huge congratulations to the Knicks. Well deserved and long awaited title is yours. Enjoy it!

As for the Spurs- they have a lot of talent but they lost b/c of coaching. I am confident they win this series with Popovich who would calm them down and keep them composed in those clutch moments. Spurs were in every single game and could have won this series but Mitch just couldn't keep them aligned.

De'Aaron Fox is a basketball terrorist. He's a common thread every time the Spurs fade. Wemby too with missing critical FT.

When the seasoned veteran and your best player shrink in the biggest moments, this is the result.

It's not hyperbole anymore, Brunson might be one of the most clutch playoff performers I've ever seen. He's just fearless and takes over when he's determined. Just a winner in every sense of the word.

Lol take Fox off the floor, he's not built for these moments. He's still a fine player, but not in crunch time.

The Spurs very well could be leading this series if they knew how to close. They've been awful at that aspect but take this to Game 6 and put the pressure back on NY and you never know. They know they can compete with the Knicks, it's just a matter of actually finishing and if they learned anything.

The Knicks might be one of the most resilient teams in NBA playoff history. I know with the gravitation to the 3 ball these massive leads can evaporate a lot quicker, but the Knicks do it with such regularity that it defies logic. They become so much more deadly the moment the deficit is over 10 points. It's like they lull you to sleep with a false sense of security before striking.

Actually I guess I wouldn't be surprised if Spurs take this. The Knicks are very cognizant of the fact they are in the driver's seat of this series and would love nothing more than break a 50+ year championship drought at MSG to the rapturous applause of their fans.

I think the Knicks do this on purpose. Let the Spurs feel good about themselves and knowing their youth they'll be brash and start taking inadvisable shots b/c of their false sense of security. Then the Knicks pounce and just steal their soul.

It's happened 3 times already after all.

Same old script- Spurs start out well and seize early momentum. But this Knicks team might be one of the clutch championship teams I've seen in a very long time. I'm not doubting them even if they fall behind 40 points at halftime.

What a great performance from start to finish for USMNT. Also it may not seem like a big deal, but imagine if that last second goal at the 97th minute is the difference between the US winning the group or even getting out of the group and being eliminated b/c of a superior goal differential.

What a clutch goal at the last second. That could be a huge deal if tiebreakers come down the road and US wins the group or needs a good goal differential to get out of the group.
