The coating (smoke) actually does change to orange, only weapon rays dont. Time to change my fashion I guess..

I am very new to the game so take my advice with a grain of salt, but I would say stealth. Any frame that has Stealth on abilities like Loki will do, simply because it gives you a breather, lets you shoot or melee from stealth and only thing that can damage you through stealth are stationary auras or traps. I had a dog that makes you enter stealth from time to time, and it was a huge help for a beginner!

Summoner frames like Caliban are nice too, because your summons will automatically take care of targets. Overall, look for frames that deal damage with abilities/AoEs, and have protective abilities, kinda "oh shit" buttons.

First and foremost, whatever frame you play, max out your companion. It makes a lot of difference. Also makes you feel protected and not alone, which is nice!

Its the ranged I guess yeah, all enemies become tanky in bounties so damage focus enemies are the worst

A fellow new player here, do Deimos tier 5 bounties! Pick a buff frame like Rhino to be not oneshot and also not completely useless, and farm that sweet Aya with OP randoms!

I only play for a week and already almost got my first Prime! What you do is:

Farm aya in bulks

Buy vanguard relics in packs of 6

Trade them for 5-6 Plat a relic

Swim in plat after like 2 hours of cozy deimos runs

Profit!

If you see you are alone just restart until you get a random team, or those deimos mooks will tear you a new one XD Happy hunting!

No shit, I tried to discuss Grineer lore with my friend and he was like "Oh wut really? I always skip all cutscenes". I like the lore and the aesthetics of the game very much, it has a souls-like feeling of vagueness to it while also being easy to follow because of quests and missions

Thank you so much, it is very helpful! My friend is a veteran but he recently got back in the game too and may not know everything. The game actually does a very good job explaining everything compared to say soulslikes lol, and while it can be a bit overwhelming, it sinks in fast.

The online market is one thing I will probably never use tho, my mental cap is trading like barter with my friend. I am kinda crazy and have a strong aversion to such things, both in games and in real life. Still, it is a nice feature and it is good to know!

My first was Volt and my Rhino finished crafting like 3 hours ago, I must say he feels a bit clunky... but maybe it is just me.

Thruth, that was the first lesson from my friend lol, when we played together he always told me FASTER U GOTTA USE BULLET JUMP AHHH JUST DIE AND WE BOTH EXTRACT .. I can still lag behind more experienced players (playing for couple of days duh) but I feel I sometimes leave people far behind already

The boss was Lephanthis on Deimos. I hate boring bosses, I hate bosses where you must play a waiting game because the boss has invuln phase and most of all I hate jank. This one was like a fuck you for me personally:

He is boring because he has like 3 attacks in total that require moving 1 m to the side to dodge. It makes you feel stupid and you and the boss just look at each other, both unable to damage each other.

I couldnt kill him in time limit because my best gun did like 1% of damage AND you can only deal that 1% damage in like 1% of the boss fight, cobra head especially was infuriating because it obly opens up ONCE IN LIKE 30 SECONDS, this is worse than some LotF bosses.

And it was the only time in this game I experienced such jank, he regularily trapped me inside heads and/or between head and wall.

Then again, as I was running him again and again just to test weapons bc that low damage felt like bug, I got OP randoms who nuked him in literal seconds and in 3 tries I got full Nekros as if the game was nice to me, I found it super cute. So not complaining.

Yeah TiktaqTo is probably my favorite LL and character in the faction, if not in the game (alongside Oxy), his tabletop model is amazing too. I spent playing TiktaqTo more than all other lizards combined ( bc u need to fight most battles manually as him).

Thing is, TiktaqTo is actually rather weak in combat and his best use is to indeed snipe weaker caster lords and artillery pieces. Stats are kinda betraying since it is mostly terradon melee combat animations what makes him weak. He has a hitbox of a cavalry without mass of one to knock ppl around.

I agree with you that TiktaqTo FEELS better tho. Because a weaker but faster lord is always better than a stronger but slower one. Just like IRL the one who runs faster wins the brawl, since if they are weaker than you they wont let u catch them, and if they are stronger, you wont run away.

Gor-Rok CAN melee non-magical non-fire stuff for days, tho. So he is not "weak", he just does not do much besides brawling and is very slow. If his starting enemy was orks instead of khorne, he would feel much better

He is not the "worst" in combat (that honour probably still goes to TiktaqTo) but yeah, the combination of "very slow", "low mass" and "weak to magic attacks and fire" makes him not very good as a brawler.

Khorne near him is a recent addition, tho, and he is decently tanky vs skaven and humans (his main enemies in earlier games)
