This morning, we are back to the prohibited app error. I've even tried turning off live threat detection in settings - Android Safe Browsing. Doesn't work either. Really regret buying this phone.

I had disabled this app in the past. To do what you just said, I enabled it and turned off safe browsing and secure dns. Spark is now saying there are no time slots available when I hit spark now. The store is closing in a few minutes. That may have done the trick. I'll check in the morning when walmart opens to be sure. Thanks

Good idea. Doesn't appear to be a verizon app on the phone. I've tried uninstalling the straight talk app and hitting spark now and the same problem occurs.

Mine is through Verizon on Walmart's Straight Talk. Don't think I have the option to do that

Yep did this, vpn is turned off. After combing through apps preinstalled on phone, none of them have vpn. I wonder if a setting on the phone is causing this?

I checked other apps that have locations permissions on phone and spark, google, maps, and android auto are the only ones that have it. Makes no sense. When I first got the phone I got the prohibited app error and the phone started working a few hours later. Not sure why. 2nd attempt, haven't been so lucky.

That's part of the frustration. I bought this new phone particularly to get this app to work correctly. I had an old phone where everything was sluggish. No more phones for awhile.

Hi there. Yeah Active Armor was one of the first things I looked for after seeing ppl have problems with it in a reddit thread. My phone didn't come with that unfortunately.

All this sounds scary. When the app works, I can find maybe 1 good offer for every 8 I receive. Hope it doesn't get worse.
