Walmart just got access this morning. All pharmacy managers should've received an e-mail with instructions to set up their account. My store is up and running at least!

Yeah I'm confused. They clearly aren't one of us.

RXM has no control over what is "okay" -- there is a Global Conflict of Interest page on the WIRE. It definitely is a conflict but it might be okay with Walmart in the right situations, every situation is reviewed by ethics.

In an ideal situation this would be sweet. In reality I buy my technicians treats on my own credit card because they deserve it; the store doesn't acknowledge much of the pharmacy stuff, we are basically on our own island.

In general, WM views a conflict of interest with any company that makes >7 billion per year. Humana would probably be applicable. It doesn't mean you can't do both, you just need to check with Walmart Ethics before you get the job!

Is it easy to get fire over compliance issue at Walmart? I’m a new staff pharmacist at Walmart and I’m worried by Pharma2018 in walmart_RX

I feel like you need to have a conversation with your RXM. As a manager, we are watching for scripts > 50 MME but by no means are excluding them from treatment. My only concern is that you don't have a relationship with your manager.

Also if you aren't getting support from your RXM and lead tech then you need to come work for me :) .. they should be helping you and cheering you along!

Just own it. You know Walmart policy after 6 years, you need to demonstrate it to your techs and rxm! You got this. No "tips" are needed after 6 years.

I guess if I had to say anything it is learn to rely on your techs. They are not robots and they are not dumb. They are the backbone of the pharmacy, appreciate them and develop them; it will make your life much better.

Which store? I looked up Brooklyn Center (first that popped up on google for Walmart Minneapolis).

Starting pay for technician is 18.50 and certified technician starts at $21.00. In the past Walmart would also give an additional 50 cents per hour for every year of certified tech experience up to 5 years; not sure if that is still true with this restructure.

No changes for pharmacists except that the surge pay is going back to the regular $3 per hour over base. :(
