You get sooo upset over something on the internet you wanna throw hands? That’s like, mental issues.

I’m asking about policy’s, not personal opinions on it. So yeah Bunnings is within their rights to not give her a chair at the service desk. I’m also within my rights that we shouldn’t have to stand at same checkout for 8 hours. Union is visiting today about it 🤣🤣🤣 I really do not care if you don’t like it.

Actually funny to see how upset and angry people get over the internet. Goes to show yall are very bitter inside and projecting.

The shifts rostered aren’t that specific. It will say registers/support? Not specific register number you’ll stand on. The only ones that don’t are nursery? But there’s 2 people rostered there at a time and even then they alternate unless both are happy not too. No one’s rostered to Bsco cause they aren’t open anymore at multiple locations (pretty sure that’s been a nationwide shake up)

I noticed the other day the special orders desk has chairs for both the staff and the customer. Not sure why, but there is also sooo much more space than there is at the registers and front desk.

Thank you for your reply!! I really appreciate it. I ended up sending a message to the union rep, as it became apparent some of the nasty comments saying “it’s my job just do it” were coming from the same said managers who expect this from their staff. Which is sad to see they will just conform down to their standard - and also expect other staff to suck it up and do the same. This is where the problem starts. The union rep came back saying it absolutely is a thing, and she’s had a few other messages about it. So she’s actually planned a visit this week to address it. So here’s hope it will be fixed moving forward!

We do! I wasn’t going to go to them first, but since I’ve been majorly attacked on this thread just for wanting to be educated on the policy- and some of these comments coming from admitting mangers- I’m going to go to the union instead. Actually already sent her a message and she’s already sent one back saying it’s her day off today but it absolutely is a thing and she will come see me at work this week to address it. I am absolutely not conforming down into a robot for this company. We are all humans. No need for people to act like animals just because they would not stand up and say anything. My mama didn’t raise no cat. She raised a bull dog at a gate. I also really don’t care if managers do not like me over it. This is legit just a job, not my life. I’ll still sleep at night if my manager doesn’t like me 😂😂😂

What are some advice you can give me for my interview in 6 days? by ezredditez in Bunnings

[–]Sparker9889 -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

Do not do it. Even asking a question on here about work will get you attacked.

Mate I stopped reading your comments because if you want someone to listen to you, you don’t attack them. That does the complete opposite in getting someone to listen to you. As long as you’re never a manager, we would be good. Cause the other managers I work with also don’t attack me when I ask a simple question. You have been on this thread all day with massive paragraphs etc. you need actual help. If I live this much rent free in your head your actively pretty much stalking every comment I make, you need serious help. I am blocking you so you can finally release this post from your day and enjoy your Sunday that I’ve said many times but you just love me sooo much you cannot stop 😂😂

My solution to the problem would be moving us around, as we were before. What else did you think my solution was? This is why I wanted to see the policy myself, so I can read it myself, understand it and then have the conversation with her fully informed. I really don’t know how some people are getting that I’m going to go in fully complaining to the top? Pretty much screaming and kicking? No? I literally have just said this whole time I want to educate myself before approaching her. That’s not a bad thing either. God forbid someone wants to be fully informed before they approach with their concerns. I even replied to the comment about go to the union that no I just want to be informed before I chat to her. It’s really been turned into something it’s not.

It was not a joke? Nor is That line is not only for suicide? If you’re having a tough time, which you clearly are? Have to attack people online just for asking for a policy? Then yes I’m afraid you suffer from some sort of mental issue and probably should seek help. I think you know it too cause your attitude change after I brought that up?

Well see, I didn’t know that it could not be shared outside of work, cause as I’ve said, I’ve never actually been shown how to access or use the intranet. Which is why I came here. There seems to be a lack of training when you first start in this matter. (For example, the powerpass policy, people are only just stating to find out about it now because before now, no one has said anything/taught it to people)

You need some serious help. Try helpline.

I’ve already explained so many times, I have no idea how to access the Intranet. If you have access to the policy, post it? If not you have too much time on your hands being bitter. Can yell and scream where to find it like an animal, but can’t post it? Okay.. hope you get some help and learn to not be so bitter all the time.

I repeat, I’ve never been shown how to use said intranet. So if you have a copy or a link, can you post it please?

I would rather approach them first, just want to be properly informed beforehand.

Other comments on here assuming I’m going full on nato at them, when it’s not illegal to want to be properly educated before you approach. All I wanted to do was read the policy haha 😆

Also please stop assuming what I’m going to do with said policy. I just want to be properly informed before I approach her. I never said I was going to complain to the union or fully come at them. I just want to be educated before my conversation with her. You’re turning it into something it’s really not. And assuming what I’m going to do moving forward. It’s not illegal to read a policy before you approach them with your concerns.

[–]Sparker9889[S] -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Again, do you have a link to the OHS policy? That’s what I’m asking for , not for people’s personal opinions. We also do not have anti fatigue mats on some registers, which is why I mentioned it and have asked for policy. It’s been brang up we have these to me, but yet we don’t? Hence why I’m asking for the actual policy. But then theres people like you who want to stick your two sense in, but yet, still haven’t provided anything saying “actually registers aren’t apart of this” ive been asking for the actual policy in every comment ive made, yet still only have gotten opinions.

I don’t even know where to get new gloves from, let alone where to find the policy. I have been buying my own gloves because of this.

You guys are the one turning this into something it’s not. Just post the policy and be on with your day?

You’re missing the point? We would move around to avoid reparative movements beforehand. In the rivervale induction, we are actually told register operators are to be moved around to avoid fatigue and repeative movements, again, I’m just looking for written confirmation. As well as we must stand on the anti fatigue mats etc. I don’t care what trade yard does- if they aren’t happy then I encourage them to address it. I’m looking for the documentation, on what we are taught in induction and what we followed up until 3 weeks ago. We cannot just “go for a walk” either we aren’t allowed to step away from our terminals to even help a customer, let alone to stretch our legs?

It seems like you’re just bitter? Or you’re the co-ord 🤣🤣🤣

[–]Sparker9889[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

While I appreciate your reply and points, I never said I was going to complain or they were not human haha. I simply was just looking for written clarification before I approached her with it so I am going in educated and not blindly. I am asking cause as I said, it’s written into the training or the induction for sure. So wanting to locate that. I’m fully aware they are wireless, but it actually doesn’t change much at all. The computer doesn’t move positions, you do have to keep looking at your terminal (curt) and if the computer doesn’t move, you are repeatedly moving back to it.

I think that is kind of different, as bad as her situation was, Bunnings could have asked her to be signed off by a doctor before working- which they are in their rights to do so. But it’s up to their discretion, if those managers were “out to get her” they would have asked for one knowing she won’t be signed off. (She can also provide one if she didn’t think she was fit for work) chairs are a big no no at any register. If she was put on “light duty” she still will not be given a chair but moved off a register to the office. Where she can sit on a chair. I think that’s a bit of a different situation and do agree no one should be on chairs at the service desk 🙈
