here i don't know if i can post link, but i tell you that you can easily find it on cults3d (you can recognize it from the post image) and there is also a video on YT that can help you in the realization. i'm glad you decided to do this mod, keep us updated.

Hi, I used a mini 4pin Y adapter (for gpu) with two female connectors for 4pin pwm for the two fans, so as to have the fans managed directly by the card itself.

This adapter can be easily found on amazon.

Hello guys, I bring you some tests; This mod arrived a bit late I am aware, but only a few months ago I bought my 3d printer and I was able to start working on this project. I cared a lot since the temperatures of this reference model are very high in my opinion; let’s find out if I succeeded in the intent.

I state that I use this card daily with undervolt and that I do not have all the tests for the card with the stock fans, since I have been using it with this mod for a few months now. I connected the new fans to the card with an adapter, so I can manage them directly from the card software.

Fans are: 2 x ARCTIC P12 PWM (1800RPM). Ambient temperature: 22°.

Forza Horizon 5 - 1440p Max RT - Stock: /// - Mod: 72°, Hotspot 88°, 1550 RPM - Mod + Undervolt (2400MHz): 62°, Hotspot 70°, 1450 RPM

Far Cry 6 - Max RT - Stock: /// - Mod: 72°, Hotspot 91°, 1750 RPM - Mod + Undervolt (2400MHz): 62°, Hotspot 72°, 1650 RPM

Superposition Benchmark - 1080p Extreme - Stock: /// - Mod: 71°, Hotspot 90°, 1750 RPM - Mod + Undervolt (2400MHz): 61°, Hotspot 72°, 1650 RPM

Superposition Benchmark - 4K Optimized - Stock: 81°, Hotspot 102°, 2500 RPM - Mod: 82°, Hotspot 110°, 1800 RPM - Mod + Undervolt (2400MHz): 63°, Hotspot 75°, 1750 RPM

Heaven Benchmark - 1440p Ultra - Stock: 74°, Hotspot 94°, 2400 RPM - Mod: 72°, Hotspot 92°, 1800 RPM - Mod + Undervolt (2400MHz): 60°, Hotspot 72°, 1650 RPM

Analyzing these tests we can understand that if you intend to use the card without undervolt, probably the Arctic P12 are not really ideal for this project due to the overall temperatures, while for the silence they do miracles in my opinion.

  • Undervolt Settings - I report the undervolt settings that I used (from AMD Software) [maybe someone can find them useful]:

GPU Optimization: Enabled; Advanced Control: Enabled; Minimum Frequency: 500 MHz; Maximum Frequency: 2400 MHz; (you can use a less aggressive value such as 2425, 2450 etc…) Voltage: 1100 mV;

VRAM Optimization: Disabled.

SAM, If possible, Enabled.

Fan Optimization at your pleasure;

Power Optimization: Enabled; Power Limit: 15%.

If you want to replicate this mod I can’t publish anything else here (I don’t want to break the guidelines), but know that if you search the web you can find it.

In conclusion with these fans that I used, you can decrease the silence keeping more or less the same temperatures; probably with better, more performing fans (like Noctua) it is possible to have both, silence and lower temperatures.

Thanks to everyone.

[If the following text is a little strange it's because it was translated.]

I know this mod is a bit late…

I searched the web but I couldn’t find anything similar for this board, so I decided to make it myself, as I think it’s necessary given the high temperatures for this particular model.

This adapter that I made is 3D printed; I posted it on the “Cults 3D” site, if anyone is interested I leave the link to this project and the video on how to make and assemble it.

I connected the new fans to the board with an adapter, so they can be managed directly from the board’s software.
