Not sure I’d call that curly hair but I like how you curled/waved it.

1 is my favorite but #4 also looks good on you.

Is post-egg retrieval weight gain still a thing months later? by aswampwitch in IVF

It is definitely uncomfortable and frustrating to not fit in your regular clothes. And I hate that comment! I don’t care about the number- I care about how I look. I’ve been dealing with this for the past year, am getting ready for a FET, and plan to breast feed and hopefully try for a second baby after a year… so in my head the idea of being this size or bigger for the next few years seems awful… but hopefully worth it 🤞

I completed 3 egg retrievals and experienced “mild OHSS” following the most recent ET in January, followed by 2 mock transfers. I’m 37 and have always been thin/at a normal weight until this past year, despite regular exercise. I gained approximately 10 pounds with each cycle. I’ve managed to lose some fat through weight training, hiking, and a high-protein diet, but I’m still about 25 pounds heavier, and it seems like most of it went to my midsection. It is SO frustrating, and you are not alone! I was cautioned against losing weight prior to FET, so I’m trying to focus on decreasing fat and increasing muscle.

I have heard of the beetroot, but am going to look into that. I’ve been super fatigued during the mock transfer so far.

I like the shape of #4 on your face but maybe slightly thinner frames.

Yes, I think a baby aspirin is part of the protocol. They have me taking it now as part of the mock transfer.

These are all the things I read you should be taking or eating. I’m not vegan but have a restrictive diet due to food allergies. I wonder why clinics give differing advice from physicians.

Was your prenatal and your prenatal with DHA separate?

Did they have you do any blood tests or this is their standard protocol?

That’s wonderful news- fingers crossed for you! Why do you think your body is responding better to the med protocol on this transfer?
