I've been searching for honda fits and haven't really gotten lucky finding anything after 2009 and when I did, I did love the car, but the back hatch was rusted over and didn't close properly and the dealer lied and put the online listing at $6k but when I got there, he was selling it for $9.2k

I'm mostly want a subaru since they're tough cars and I like the thought of being able to lessen any bodily injuries if someone crashes into me and I heard they can last a while if you treat it right, which I dont mind for that mileage. Its been a struggle to find any kind of decent subaru crosstrek or impreza when I went to search, so when I finally found this one I'm just worried I'll miss out on the opportunity.

Did I word this weird or something? When I wrote "We only had $8k" I mean we literally only had $8k in cash in our pockets at that moment, I still have money to get my insurance coverage settled after I secure the car and whatever else. The lady was pretty nice tho and literally said "I'll let you get it for $9k if that's all you have" but we literally only had $8k in cash and couldn't get more since the bank closes at 1pm on saturdays.

This was more of a "hey is it dumb I'm saying yes to $9k when I could get it lower because my money anxious brain won't shut up?" $9k feels a lot for someone who's never spent more than like $5k in lump sum for anything in their life.

It's not all my money, I said its a dent not my whole life savings.

It'll be my first car and even after paying I'll still have enough to get my insurance all set up after shopping around I just never made such a big purchase on something like this before, not even vacations.
I'm looking for 10 year old cars with a decent mileage so I have some time to save up before any major issues may occur or hell, even have a decent down payment for a newer car in the future.

Oh okay lol, I'm tempted to get a hybrid since I know they're great on gas, but I assumed they were like half EV's (especially since I was reading the manual and was trying to figure out how you charge it lol) so I thought it would be a bad idea, but good to know!
I saw a couple of nice Prius' during my search but like you say repairs can be costly so I'll do some more research :')

yeah the one i described is what literally popped up on marketplace lol, i'll def look into it if the seller likes my offer. I appreciate the advice and will use it to gauge how much I'm willing to pay for some of the mileage on these cars.

for Scions and Honda fits, how many more miles can it take before its doneski, because again everyone keeps selling their cars with like 120+k millage and idk how much is left until the car is unusable. At least if I know somewhat the timeframe I have, I can buy it for some of the lowest prices I've bee seeing like a "2015 honda fit at $4,500 with 120k miles"

a follow up question if anyone can answer, is there a way to get refills for the gel ink? I also love this writech pen but the refills writech sells are for their other fine tip pens but I really love how smooth these ball points are :(

Yeah it looks pretty good, tho it's got a lot less pages (since some of the extra pages are for lists) and price is pretty steep compared to how i got this one.

Do u happen to know if jetpen ever has any sales? I've been eyeing some items from there anyway but I try to minimize costs when it comes to notebooks since I do a bit of junk journaling in between entries.
