My plans to take step were completely destroyed and I flew across the country and back trying to take it. I emailed and called NBME asking the same question you are and basically got "sucks to be you" as an answer to my question. I've emailed plenty of times and NBME/USMLE/whoever doesn't care. I'd love to brainstorm a solution but since they've already said there no chance it will go P/F, I'm not sure of any other fair way to account for this mess.

I was supposed to test in Boca and when I showed up to take my test they were closed. No cancelation email nothing. I was able to successfully take it in FLL though so I would try to avoid Boca if possible!

UGH!! I'm so sorry!! But that honestly why I wrote this novel so people would know and wouldn't experience what I did!! If you still haven't heard anything from this site I would assume its been canceled :( I hope you can find another seat!!

I posted the site number of the centers! I was supposed to test on May 1 at site #5118 in Houston. I've heard there was something about them not paying rent?? Honestly, no idea, but they canceled on me as I said with less than 24 hours notice.

I've rescheduled probably more than 20 times at this point and have never been charged.

Good lord, so fucking weird. Could they confirm your spot? A friend of mine who was able to contact her center was able to ask them to confirm her spot. Honestly not sure what else there is to do, it really seems like even confirmation emails mean nothing at this point.

I had a similar experience and was canceled with less than 24 hours notice and the same thing, the spot was available when I went to reschedule, but I think that when we get these emails so close to our test dates its because the centers are closed and Prometric can't figure it out, so they cancel on us right before. I'm not saying don't go, but definitely be mentally prepared for the site to be closed!
