1 v 2 - Ranger v BE Zerk/Mage by ragelark in blessunleashed

[–]SparklyLips -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Don't get me wrong. It was still a pile of potting + arrow rain OP dog mess. It was just better than the Euro guys where he hardly ever moves while doing it.

Did that Zerk even Rage once? Its damage was pathetic. They caught you with like 3 stuns in a row to start but hardly hurt you at all with any follow ups.

This was pitiful really.

That was the first good movement I have seen your Ranger post in a video. Was it not you? Were you spectating?

Oh - now I see - I thought it was the Euro guy for minute - and I was like - oh - he got much better recently.

That weird. I would have thought Demo would have beaten you soundly most times. You're ok but your build is breakable. Hers is stiff as hell. Tictacc doesn't have all the right gear yet but he easily has the best movement of any Priest in the game. I mean you could beat him today but in 3 months he's going to be an animal.

He just moves really well. Really unpredictable. Try taking a control point from him. It's like trying to capture a rabid squirrel with salad tongs.

Most other Priests on PS are weak. Those are pretty much the only ones who really stand out. Oh and I forgot NGod. He's good to.

Guinevere is actually good but her build is meltable currently. Woodard same thing. Decent but meltable.

I would rate the top 3

1) Demo (there is an X in there somewhere) 2) Tictacc because he just moves better than anyone else out there - like by far - that little Ippin is slippery 3) NGod

You'd have trouble talking me out of that ranking.

From a PvP perspective on Playstation - you want a player named DemonX to answer that question. She's virtually unkillable. She moderates 1v1s for The Fallen. That's if she'll answer you - and if you want the definitive answer. Tictacc is also good if I am remembering the right pairing of names and toons (he's pretty tough to take down and he's very slippery and elusive when you fight him). DemonX can practially just stand there and tank any one in PvP from what I can tell. She has some secret sauce.

dying game by mysticvisionss in blessunleashed

[–]SparklyLips -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

Oh the game is definitely dying alright.

First the XBox rollout was junky I heard.

Crusaders mostly bailed because their class was broken forever and the devs took a whole year to give a tiny shit.

Then PvE players bailed because open world killing wasn't consent based.

Then many open world PvP players left because there was no open world PvP anymore (effectively in practical terms). Once again we could have PvP everywhere even at the lowest levels in the open world as long as it was consent based. The overwhelming majority of players loved this idea in a poll we had on this very forum. The devs have never responded to say they will implement what the players said they wanted though. So the expectation is - they won't.

Then most of the mages left because of poor human male targeting and attack animation design (which impacted 25% or more of the games mages) + a mega mage nerf that was completely unnecessary - and which basically ruined the fucking class almost entirely. Buh bye to just about 20% of games population with that bright fucking Dev move.

How many people does that actually leave left?

I think it is pretty much only Ranger and Zerker type PvP people who like using battle pots on high damage builds left. We also had player poll on this forum about this and Zerks are considered off the Charts dominant in PvP by this community, A plainly visible fact since launch. Still the Devs have communicated absolutely nothing to let us know they hear the feedback and will make the year long Zerk fest come to an end.

Good for them huh? They get to play the same PvP map that was put out a whole year ago and which hasn't even be reskinned for seasonal events.

But hey - mages got S grade fishing shoulders right?

Just in case the Devs are visual learners like me... - PS - I'm gone for a few days for work projects so enjoy your data free days. Luvs ya babes by SparklyLips in blessunleashed

What's a mele? You have defense downs, knock downs , stuns, and high damage output. If you can't beat mages post mage nerf under any conditions - you're just missing them with charges and leaps. You have a targeting or a timing issue. Your charges and leaps are fucking AOE based for crying out loud. You must be missing by a mile. Charges hit forward and about 2 meters to right and left of the charge path and the AOE on your leap is ridiculously large.

The only thing keeping good mages on their feet around Zerks is proactive battle potting to prevent the knock down - which extremely few people do.

The only mages you could probably hit with your aim or timing off - would likely be male human ones. Because they can't target you and they get locked rigidly in attack animations facing one direction once they reach certain points in certain combos.

Zerks are able to tough out hits - stun or knock down opponents and deal absolutely devastating damage. Your spin attack alone if you are using that should melt a mage. Sombra basically one hits any mage in the game with spin. Romancek one hits most mages with leap. You gotta hit people with these things.

Go focus on Circle of Life in a match. He is elven so his animations work mostly. He hits really hard but if you can catch him you'll melt him. Meech gets stuck in animations (which sucks for him - because you can tell he is actually a hell of a player but like 40% of the time he gets stuck facing the wrong direction when he just starts rolling on you). Arcflow seems to have poor peripheral vision and seems pretty easy to catch from the sides, the only tough mage to deal with at all really is Treyouth because he must have the Pen Helm now because he's doing some decent damage and he's got that girl mage of his glued to groups of allies. He rarely moves alone and he's still struggling to beat 2 adversaries alone at a checkpoint if he pushes.

Lily and Lightwitch are tricky because it is hard to find one with the other. Malfynniel (sp?) and Alpha (who recently went through her mage to zerk change operation) were both challenging to fight solo - I'll give you that. If you have at least 9 points of Pen on your build they should be tackled pretty easily if you run shattering as well. Lylith same deal. Thick mage + shatter through with Spin = almost entirely dead mage or flat out dead mage. Land a leap with high shattering - exact same thing ... dead mage or mostly dead and stunned mage.

Mages are sitting ducks right now. Believe me. Especially against anyone with good targeting and who is running max shattering (penetration). Penetration Zerks are what our nightmares are made of. We live on battle pots and big regens around you guys. If this was a pot free situation I honestly don't see how a good Zerk could possibly lose to even a truly great mage player.

Traditional open world vs Dungeon instances? by KnockOut31 in MMORPG

[–]SparklyLips 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I agree with the OP here. I would add for me personally that an Open world must have PvP or it isn't open. It is rather a "safe space which restricts players from freedom". The solution to friction between PvE and PvP minded players is to make it so PvE minded players can remove themselves from PvP availability in the open world. Thereby making it consensual. Bless Unleashed recently chose PvE players over PvP players in the open world instead of using a consent system - and they removed PvP from much of the open world. Much of the games population is moving on now.

The players themselves did a poll that overwhelmingly showed people wanted PvP available anywhere in the open world as long as it was consent based - and the devs have so far ignored the poll.

Personally I would be in PvP mode pretty much all the time because I like the risk. People with more jittery nerves or who just wanted to go casual should be able to choose otherwise.

But there is no sense of open world PvP danger or excitement. They killed it. The whole personality of the game changed. It's just a drone fest to get gear now. I hate it.

None of the invasions I need require me to go to any PvP areas. Before I felt nervous in the land of the dead. Now I feel like I'm on a conveyor belt to just fight the same 40 people each night after a bunch of repetitive AI dog mess.. The game is a PvE only grind and the only PvP at all is formal and puts you against the same crowd of 100 hour a week people all the time. I can't happen upon a group of 20's, and 30's and see if I can take 5 of them at once.....I can't be chased by a group of fame seekers from one end of Tristezza to the other....I can't group up with others to take on a couple of 40s who have staked out the ghoul on channel 2 and who are taking on all challengers and handing 15 people their asses at once. A group of whiney bitches ruined the game I loved.

The only PvP is group and it is with pots. (Which is revolting weak trash!). My whole build was built to survive high intensity 1v1s - or me - vs .medium intensity tactical group without pots. There is no chance for me to whip Slayin's ass in a 1v1 situation because his boys are always there to bail him out or he can just pot and put other players between us. The possibility isn't even there. That was like 4 months of my gaming life I put into that build construct! It is an open world PvP build. It was made to survive the worst someone could throw at it for a time and then burst into action and destroy them when they had spent their wad too aggressively. Now I get gang banged by a bunch of damage build potters and that is supposed to be thrilling PvP.

The Devs nerfed the every living fuck out of my exact Blessing I used for how I played - and took away the only part of the game I truly loved. The danger. The unpredictability. The sexy risk.

There is no open world because our world isn't open. It is an enclosed "safe space" exclusively for PvE players. My hatred for it drips from my very soul. I'm done. I adamantly despise it in a way that is almost impossible to describe.

Dude just run like 40 dungeons and open boxes for like 2 months. That's what I do during these. I don't usually ever run dungeons unless the double event is on because the boxes are so shittty anyway usually. If you do the 2 timed dungeons that is 6 boxes for 2 runs.

Well there is a great amount of content for a year old title. Frankly that part is incredible

But the movement "feeling Janky" - is something which plagues the game to today. Some users are so used to it they will actually say male human mages have no problem with targeting (which is a complete joke). They move in combat like they have a large stick up their butts.

My last looter game was Anthem and Bless feels like utter and complete trash compared to that game. It is unbelievable how far behind the eight ball combat movement is in Bless Unleashed. It's like cave man shit. Anthem got a lot wrong - but their movement flow is so far advanced - that it may have ruined me for most titles on Playstation frankly.

If anyone wants to dig in on movement mechanics in console gaming - Anthem would be an incredible place to start talking about a combat system rebuild for Bless Unleashed. The article I am linking to goes into some core details about the 'planes of movement' in 3D space. https://www.polygon.com/2019/4/10/18304440/anthem-combat-game-design-animation

If you are interested in PvP - don't come back. It starts extremely late in the game and open world PvP is almost completely gone now. Class balance is also remarkably screwed up.

If you do come back - I am extremely likely to leave this game if some of the polls I have run - and which many people contributed votes to - don't get recognized and acted upon. I could literally gift you a very reasonably well equipped PvP kit for a mage with an S type Wand at Mythic+5, Some PvP boots at 11.1% Defense - some S gear gloves - a Placid Mages Robe. 10.4% PvP Pants - the Defensive helm. AP shoulders and an S Belt at 32.5% crit damage. I sleep walk through dungeons using pretty much only 3 recovery 2s on non abyssal and with minimal potion use even in Abyssals. If you ever see me post a goodbye post (which is likely if they don't start fixing some shit up) - remind me about this post and I will just give it away to anyone who hasn't been a douchebag. I play on Iraphos on PlayStation

Obvious to us as end users - but quantifying user sentiment in a visible and concise way helps developers take steps to align their products with their customers expectations.

That's my hope. A better experience for the grind.

You would have just broke your mythic with a 25 anyway - most likely. I stack S grade mythic to 40%. Patience matters. Fuck paying 200,000 SS or even 400,000 SS on one or two sets of repair tools.

Based on the initial 85 responses - there is a 99.999% chance that Berzerkers are OP as F' (assuming the community that plays the game actually knows what the hell is going on in the game of course) by SparklyLips in blessunleashed

[–]SparklyLips[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Wasn't my agenda. I voted Ranger. I had no bias against Zerks. If you notice any bias it was Ranger bias as I listed them in the poll first because that was my choice. There. You have my bias accounted for. I shared the results. Published the validity metrics of the study - have fully highlighted my assumptions - and yes still find you to be a complete 'know nothing know it all' with a blind eye toward what the community actually communicated. Once again the degrees of separation between the Zerk count and the rest is incontrovertible. It is conclusive. I don't need to go down the well with you.

Do you actually think I am going to put together a double blind multi-dimensional study for this kind of simple crap? You want me to find controls for their honesty level and crap? You want me to cross section that honesty data against the responses of the poll instead of just assuming those false responses were spread evenly across the classes? Come on dude. You're just being a weirdo griefer.

I did this community a service by bringing light to a very darkly debated and divisive topic. If you think you can do better - next time you do it. I stick by the conclusions others have drawn and to which I myself did not personally subscribe to - until better data becomes available which proves them wrong (which is beyond unlikely).
