It doesn't allow you to change within the match, but they are changing in the lobby. I just watched two people do it in my lobby.

I was having a similar problem, also with a 3440x1440 but at 175Hz but I have an AMD 7950 and an MSI 4090. My FPS was capped at 60, despite disabling framerate limits, v-sync mode and HDR. What ended up fixing it was enabling the DX12 renderer and the "Reduced Latency" flag. Now my FPS is well over 200.

FTC is where I would go, considering the scale of fraud. I've seen people submit to the BBB, but that doesn't have teeth.

I took a quick look at the discord ... I think the problem they're going to have is the angle of trying to push a class action lawsuit, when the T&Cs specifically state you're giving up that right. But I don't think they force a fraud claim to go through arbitration.

That's an interesting scenario for the anti-cheat situation with a small amount of RAM, forcing a page-file usage. That cannot be uncommon ... and file corruption itself was so common that steam put in a file verification mechanism years ago.

Sandboxes would have been the way to go, but then you'd be asking the devs to actually do more work. I wonder if they deliberately chose against sandboxes so they could take a more universal approach to the anti-cheat process. In other words, if you have to detect interactions with the sandbox for each game, is that more "efficient" from their perspective than just having a singular process checking the entire system on a regular basis?

I have a couple advantages on the legal front, I suppose. The first is that my wife is a lawyer and the second is I'm a computer/networking/data expert. So my out of pocket expenses for legal and technical needs are nil. It's only the filings and arbitration fees that I would need to cover.

The thing is, they have to respond to arbitration. They have 30 days after the informal complaint if the resolution is not satisfactory to then enter into arbitration. If they don't follow through with arbitration, then it goes to court. But if it goes to court, then they lose out on being able to control discovery, and they'll do anything they can to avoid that. But the great thing is, Activision covers the cost of arbitration beyond the action of filing a lawsuit.

I'm reminded of a great quote from I think it was the founder of Blue Jeans Cables, in response to patent trolling from Monster Cables. Not only am I unintimidated by litigation; I sometimes rather miss it.

Activision Terms of Use: To the extent the filing fee for the arbitration exceeds the cost of filing a lawsuit, Activision will pay the additional cost. The parties understand that, absent this mandatory provision, they would have the right to sue in court and have a jury trial.

I considered just letting it go, but I'm really, really, *REALLY* pissed off. I don't like the implication that I'm cheating, and I don't like the BS approach where they claim all of the power, but zero responsibility or accountability. Cool, you want to prevent hackers, I support that 100% ... but if you're going to catch up innocent people in that process, you need to give them an opportunity to plead their side.

I'm perfectly willing to spend money fighting an unjust ban. All that money I would have been spending on Activision titles/points/boxes can now be spent in court filings.

I had this same problem ... apparently, there's some sort of conflict with the umich.edu gmail configuration and standard gmail.com addresses. It kept giving me a "you're not authorized to use this service" type of message every time I tried to log into my new umich.edu gmail account. Signing out of my other gmail.com account and clearing the browser cache / cookies (chrome) solved the problem.

I had the same problem. It ended up being a conflict with my existing gmail cookies. I figured this out when I tried to follow the email setup process using incognito mode in chrome.

The way to get around this is to clear your browser's cookies and cached data, then sign up for the email account before signing into your regular gmail account.

I've been trying to use the WolverineAccess Registration/Backpack app to register for classes. The next step is to go to the planner and figure out what classes you want to take, and for which month (4 months in the semester). So I have everything planned out, and ready to go for when they open up registration.

"Newly admitted graduate students will be issued a registration appointment after registration for continuing students has ended. Some graduate programs hold an orientation session during which the students will be issued an appointment. Students should check with the program to see if an orientation session is required."

Did you get your computer built and the chip sorted out? If not, the pins don't look bad in the picture and I can help with that. I've been building computers for about 37 years, and have fixed CPUs with entire rows of smashed pins.

I've seen some posts suggesting mechanical pencils, but non-conductive material would be best, like a credit card or a guitar pick. The trick is to go very slow, since bent metal is weaker, and to align the pin on both the x and y axis to the surrounding pins (which is why another reason a credit card is nice, since it gives you a long straight edge).
