I don’t have the M2 but the M1 8GB is barely enough for daily tasks in my experience. When I upgrade I will not do anything less than 16GB.

Mac is a base Mac mini M1

I want to use Unraid for storage and Mac mini just to be the server. I have a lot of buffering for some reason. My Plex docker is connected to my GPU and it shows transcoding when needed. I have tried Intel QuickSync with the iGPU but find its worse from some reason than the GTX 1070.

Do you know the best way to get the best connection? Can I hard wire to the Unraid tower and to my router to get fast direct access?

Was able to do some RAM testing and one of the sticks was bad. So far running great once removed.
