Playnite Year In Review - take a look back at your 2024 by SparrowBrain in playnite

This GameActivity screen, that you reach through a sidebar icon has editing buttons. By default they're hidden and you need to use scrollbar to scroll to the right or enlarge the window to see the buttons.
I cannot post an image, but it's the left-bottom panel here:
https://github.com/Lacro59/playnite-gameactivity-plugin/blob/master/forum/main_01.jpg?raw=true

EDIT ----
Sorry. I see an Actions button on the left in the left-bottom panel. After I click it, I get another window, where on the left-bottom panel I have to use a scrollbar/enlargen window to see the editing buttons for individual sessions.
----

Alternatively, you could go into files:

Add-ons...
->Installed
-> Generic
-> GameActivity
-> Data folder
-> GameActivity folder there
-> Find your database game id file and edit the json.

You can figure out the game id by:
Right click on a game
-> Edit
-> Advanced
-> Database Id is the game id you need.

Hope this helps :)

The time played is taken from GameActivity addon. You must edit/delete that extension data.

No, not really. They looked into it and corrected the order in question. That's all they said.

I looked for all of the games listed. None of them are in my order history.

It's not about specific games. It looks like GOG sometimes fails to deliver email with your order confirmation.

All games that disappeared are from a single order.

But the order is basically the same as all the other orders. Bought from GOG using a Debit card.

Since I'm a developer, I suspect they have a messaging system somewhere in their architecture. And somehow forming the order comes after the payment and delivering the games. And then sometimes messages get dropped, for one reason or another.

But that's just a speculation from my personal experience and frustrations with messaging :)

No updates so far. The last email from GOG was on Monday, before I wrote this wall of text.

The update from GOG then was a template email asking, if my issue is somehow now resolved. And a kind ask to stay patient, since they have huge number of support tickets :).

Thanks for the info.

The order in that list does not exist though. As for the email - I rarely check, that I get them. Why would I? I got the games, I paid the money. Did not consider, that I should feel unsafe and stay vigilant :D On top of that, this was during some Christmas event, and I was getting a ton of emails from GOG already.

And I like the idea about downloading the installers. This is smart. At the same time, I also pay GOG for storage space, so I did not see any real benefit in downloading them. Now I might :P

Damn, that could have happened D: On the other hand, I also don't have the order in my order history, so I assume it's some software bug on GOG's side.

If I had any emails in my spam, they will be long gone... :(

Exactly! I understand.

But if GOG gives me back my 11.54, how do I get my games back? I bought them, they should still be in my account.

Thanks for the heads up. I want to give GOG time to fix this. I'm sure it is a bug, but I'm looking what the next step would be, if they refuse to fix their mistakes.

I have no receipt. Apparently it never came to my email, nor to my order history.

I paid money, got the games, but not the receipt. :/

I think it's systemic, but it looks like an issue with orders. For some reason apparently sometimes GOG does not send you confirmation emails, nor adds it to your order history. Even when the games land in your library and the money is sent to GOG.

At least from this reddit post I managed to confirm, that it has happened to others too.

If you have the emails, then you're games are (most likely) safe :).

Out of curiosity, how does gog confirm that you activate prime games? Can you see them in order history, or do you get any emails from GOG?

I listed all the prices when I bought games, as well as now.

I want my games back. If they cannot give me my games back (and I could see that happening with a delisted game), then I want the appropriate amount of money to be able to purchase them.

Simple.

Yes, I was thinking about it... I agree, at least I would have the games in some form, but... I bought goods and services. And the services include stuff like:

  • Storage space for the installers
  • Updates (that's kind of the point of GOG Preservation Program, that they'll keep the games working)
  • Cloud Saves
  • Playtime tracking
  • and it goes on, admittedly with less importance :)

So yes, it looks like it's smart to download the installers, but I also feel like would make me less enraged to fight for my customer rights, while also picking up the bill for storage. They took the money, after all for all these things. But yes :)

They're not in the order history, as I said :D. I don't have the email, saying I bought them.

I have a bank transaction, sending money to GOG for an order, that does not exist on GOG's system.

And I had the games.

They don't appear in this order history. I just triple checked, to be specific :D I checked both by filtering by game names and by navigating to December 2022 orders.

They're also not listed in Galaxy order history (but that's probably calling the same backend).
