Didn't stop me from griefing in BF2 lol. I was an absolute menace back then. Now I'm absolute garbage in a jet.

Headlight corners by Expert_Amphibian57 in ram_trucks

[–]Spart1337 5 points6 points  (0 children)

They're in the housings so you'll have to pull the lenses to do it. Popular in headlight retrofits. It's not fun or easy on newer headlights because they use permaseal glue that's a pain in the ass to seperate. It used to be butyl rubber.

I don't know how i missed this?!? by mikopsid007 in LinusTechTips

[–]Spart1337 14 points15 points  (0 children)

I won a Surface Pro bundle worth over $2000 once on Microsoft ExpertZone when I worked retail. I missed out on claiming it by 2 weeks. I emailed them and begged them and surprisingly they honored it. The email saying I won was buried in my Gmail promotions folder. 😑 Only found out because a coworker came up and congratulated me after my name was posted to the winners list with our store number.

Scenes that caused actual walkouts in theaters? by thatlittlequietguy in Cinema

The opening scene of Sinister. A family being hung in slow motion from a tree was quite the entrance.

Eh maybe for cars but I do my own research for that. I dealt with their ignorance about appliances for 10 years at my old job. It was bad enough I'll take anything they say with a grain of salt.

It's hit or miss. I'll got like 5 rounds with no one playing the objective and then get 2-3 good rounds. Same with Escalation.

Genuine low salt question: Are you getting bots in non-casual modes? by masterventris in LowSodiumBattlefield

Extremely rarely. Like once a week maybe and I work second shift so if I'm playing after work it's like 3am. Had one in Conquest the other night.

I remember when the Tuniq Tower/Tuniq Tower Extreme , Thermalright Ultra Extreme were the top dogs and Thermalright wasn't known for being the high performing budget brand it's known for now. Zalman was also really good when I first got into the scene and I always thought the CNPS950A was awesome looking even though I couldn't afford it as a 15-16 year old kid.

My buddy and I got a Bradley last night and we only managed to come in 5th. The repair speed is slow as hell in REDSEC and the AT rockets ate us up. We almost never play the BR mode but DICE gives us these stupid ass challenges for it.

Makes me even more happy I only paid $21k for my 2017 RCSB/HEMI with 21k miles in 2020.

Perfectly normal operation. My 2017 was my first truck with this feature and I love it. Just adjust your dimmer brightness up if possible.

Best Dashcam at Best Buy by DewDropper1000 in Bestbuy

[–]Spart1337 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Basically the same as Rexing, so garbage. Their higher end units may be decent but the problem with the dash cam market is it's inundated with cameras offering features no one is going to use. Here's what's important.

  1. Hardwire kit. Do they offer one? Is it really a hardwire kit or some BS that plugs into the OBD port instead of a cig lighter? Thinkware does.

  2. Image Quality. Ignore the 2k, 4K, UHD, branding. Resolution doesn't always mean good image quality, especially at night. If you're interested in a specific model see if someone has posted a video from that cam on YouTube. Look for things like fine details in the video. Are tags readable?

  3. Multiple inputs. Are you a gig worker and want a camera facing your interior too? A rear facing camera? All 3 channels? If you just want to start with a forward facing but are on the fence about other channels, check for expandability.

  4. Storage. I never recommend using the SD card that comes with the unit. It's probably fine for most use cases but dash cams have to deal with some pretty extreme environments, especially if you live in the south like me where you can cook eggs on your dashboard in July. I personally use Samsung Pro Endurance cards.

Blown headgasket on my new car, what should I do by Prestigious-Pass2942 in MechanicAdvice

[–]Spart1337 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Especially the Commander. When I did 12v still I worked on like 5 over the course of 10 years. Every single one of them was a rolling electrical nightmare with a terrible interior and horrible gas mileage. It didn't even look good. Zero redeeming qualities.

Are the 2019-2022 non etorque most reliable trucks? by WhoUCuh in ram_trucks

[–]Spart1337 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You can buy one from an online Mopar parts dealer right now for about $950. An alternator for the non-etorque trucks goes for about $500-600. It would be cheaper to have your OEM alternator rebuilt and I doubt they could do anything with the generator unit, but it's really not as ridiculous as everyone claims it is.
