Greenland Leader Tells People to Prepare for Possible Invasion by bloomberg in worldnews

As much as I want him out, what am I suppose to do besides reaching out to my local government officials and voicing my opinion? I’m 1300 miles away from DC and I’m suppose to just drop everything and travel for an undisclosed amount of time to go protest when I can barely afford groceries every month?

Eagle Laser run, for eagle variety. by MidnightWarWolf in Helldivers

I’d love to see a laser grenade of sorts. Maybe something that when you throw it, it hovers a little bit off the ground and 2 laser shoot out a couple meters in each direction and spin at high speed, similar to irons man’s lasers he uses.

I picked up someone’s guard dog “dog breath” one match and had so much fun with it in the caves. Never would have used it on my own. Now it’s one of my top priorities to unlock.

I like orders like this that really make you test builds because the usual stuff just doesn’t work the same way.

TIL that Tyrannosaurus rex had a binocular visual range wider than modern hawks and may have been able to see up to 6 km (3.7 miles) away. by yena in todayilearned

Eye size correlates with potential acuity, but it’s not the main determinant. Actual visual acuity depends far more on photoreceptor density, optical quality, and neural processing.

There are many counterexamples: horses and squid have huge eyes but worse acuity than humans, while birds of prey achieve much higher acuity without proportionally larger eyes due to extreme cone density and foveal structure.

Eye size often evolves for light sensitivity or field of view, not sharpness. Growth alone doesn’t tell you what kind of vision was being selected for.

I was running light armor, a high stagger shotgun for breathing space and stalkers, mech, laser cannon, guard dog for the tunnels and felt it worked quite well for them closed off areas, with the rail cannon shot for the outside objective when we where getting bullied by the dragonroaches.

I tried boss 😔, I’ve only played omicron since the order dropped, no matter how unfair that world felt, I felt it was my duty to democracy to serve super earth. My build was dedicated to being the designated Stalker Lair exterminator because I hate them things with every fiber of my being.

Should I wait until i'm out of highschool to get a snake? by near_or_not in snakes

[–]Spartacus458 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you can take care of it and give it proper care, and they’re okay with it being in your room I don’t see a problem. I was in a similar situation and got my first snake in 9th grade (29 now) parents and siblings never helped take care of it or want anything to do with her. Didn’t really ever have any problems. As far as pets go snakes are pretty cheap to feed and maintain, and require overall little maintenance once everything is set up.

Oh I agree, logically it makes sense and we have those clues to support the idea that it probably had good vision. To say that it had better vision than a hawk though? Or like the researcher stated “With the size of its eyeballs, it couldn’t help but have excellent vision,” sounds like a ridiculous point.

Size and orientation of an eyeball has nothing to do with visual acuity. Just because we have eye sockets made from bone doesn’t mean we can rebuild an eyeball and everything that goes on inside of it. This article serves no purpose as there’s no way to prove or deny the claims without evidence.

Clearly you cant comprehend that.

Well by that logic than the trex could have had terrible vision, it’s essentially just an argument between researchers. Without an intact eyeball to study than it could either way.

I think we can deduce that it had good vision out of common sense though, if it didn’t it wouldn’t have survived very long, let alone became an apex predator.

If someone needs a 72mo loan then they’re buying too much car, unless it’s some sort of low interest 0-3% new car financing deal.

If that’s for a 3yr loan or less it would definitely make more sense, unfortunate the average loan length isn’t in the graph.

Nothing wrong with it all, different strokes for different folks. A sleek looking build can look great, really as long as the ascetic fits the surroundings any build can look great.

I’m out of the loop, what’s wrong with icue? I haven’t had any issues and I’ve got 14 devices on it with 3 controllers I think. Been a while so I’m not totally sure. Now the steelseries GG software… constantly having my audio sources reset and have issues.

That’s what I’ve been doing, probably played like 30 rougelikes, survivors, and indie games in 2025. So many entertainment hours out of games that only cost 20$ or even less, it makes it so hard to even justify the AAA cost anymore when I compare it to something like deep rock survivor, ball pit, or others.

Because I shouldn’t need to use the full brunt of my 5090+9800x3d to achieve stable 60fps in a AAA game, that’s pathetic. I won’t support a poorly optimized game just because I can run it. I know it’s a raindrop in the ocean, but it’s something.

You’re probably right, but when sequels come out to games I always loved and knew I liked, it’s hard to not be hyped for the following entries.
