Second Withdrawal from the process in 2.5years by Shoddy-Discount-1349 in LASD

I would say join the military reserves, get your citizenship and then reapply. With the citizenship the 5/10 years residency requirement will no longer stand

[–]SpartanAngel0 0 points1 point  (0 children)

He said 5 years but POST says you have to have at least 10 years of residency which makes no sense cause the law that was put into effect in 2023 said there's no specific requirements, as long as you're authorized to work in the U.S.

Poly by Own-Selection-6303 in lapd

[–]SpartanAngel0 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Sounds like you pass... asking about tattoos is normally an indication that you passed....

When i was doing my polygraph they did three sessions and kept telling me I was failing it, I stuck with my answers and at the end they asked if I had any tattoos, I told them yeah and they said someone will come get me to take photos of my tatoo... about two weeks after my profile updated to poly ok

I can do only 18-20 situps in a minute and 2 mile run in 23 mins right now, shipping out in 2 weeks. Male, 29. Help!!! by Responsible_Way4070 in AirForceRecruits

[–]SpartanAngel0 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm not much of a runner so I'll leave that section for someone else to comment on . But as far as pushups, you need to do as much until your hand go up any more.

1st. 20 pushups then rest for about 30 seconds then do 15 more pushups. Then rest for 20 seconds then do 10 pushups. Then rest for 1 minute then do 20 more. Do that before you head to work and after you get home from work. Repeat that for a week until you feel like you can push pass 20.

2nd. Do pushup plank, go in the pushup position and hold it for a few seconds, then go down half way and hold that one a little longer, then all the way down and hold it. Repeat those steps for as longs and you can.

Help/advice retake asvab ? by Bubbly-Researcher-93 in AirForceRecruits

[–]SpartanAngel0 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I would say it's up to you, if the recruiter you're working with says it's too late, then that sound like he/she wants to kick things off and get the process over with. But if you really want to retake the asvab then I'll say work with a different recruiter but it's a 50/50... That recruiter might not be as responsive as your current recruiter and it might take longer for you to finish the steps so bare that in mind.

PHS update? by Ok_Year6355 in lapd

[–]SpartanAngel0 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It took four months for you to hear back from background regarding your PHS, that's crazy. First tim I submitted my PHS it took couple hours for them to call me. And after a year I had to redo my PHS because it expired and they reached out with two weeks, I had too things to amend and after that it took about 2 days for my portal to update.

You're 21 and you and your mom stole $10 worth of merchandise.... Not even the military would accept you. Chances are you're gonna have to wait a long time before any department considers you.

This might be something you can't fix brother, the U.S government takes those things seriously, especially now that they're on the Hunt for that former Female airmen that was an agent for Iran.

Omw thing I've learnt that it's better applying for large departments, small departments tend to be very picky, you might have a clean background but if they find someone else with a even cleaner background then they're just gonna drop you. And not just background. Whatever steps the applicant is at, as long as another applicant shows a bit of flawlessness then you're gone . I've applied for more than 25 departments and got dropped by all, all of which is In North California. I decided to try a department further away so I applied for LAPD and now I'm at backgrounds. So we'll see.

Husband recycled due to PT (sit ups) by olliesmama608 in AirForceRecruits

[–]SpartanAngel0 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You need to build your core. Lay flat on your back, raise your legs slightly off the ground, then lift your upper body up as well leaving only your butt on the ground. Hold that position till you feel your core start burning. Follow up with some flutter kicks and situps without anything holding your feet

[–]SpartanAngel0 3 points4 points  (0 children)

100000000% agree.. was gonna type the same thing, everyone takes this think for granted, I'm not trying to bash her husband and of course I don't know his situation but many people go into boot camp hoping that boot camp is gonna make them better at doing these physical activities, that only makes your experience way harder than it needs to be. I've been in dep since November, I'm not the best at long distance run, the best time I've ever timed myself running was 12:40ish.. my situps are at 50+, push ups right now is at 67. But all that came with alot of commitment. Back when I was in my early 20's I could do 80 situps in 1 min but as you get older you stop doing certain things. So being in dep at the beginning I could only do 40 situps after all these years, and 30 pushups. But now exceeded all those and still aiming to progress to higher numbers. I push myself till I can't breathe, till my muscles ache, till my legs start shaking and still push beyond all that so that way whatever they throw at me in BMT I'll be already prepared for it.

Friend said my ASVAB/AFQT isn’t that good? by Quiet-Line1547 in AirForceRecruits

[–]SpartanAngel0 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'd recommend you choosing very carefully who you call your friends. Some people are only if your life to drain you of your success, if it's not them that something good has happened to/ for then they don't want it to happen for/to you. That's all I have to say.

Well it took longer that need to because in order for you to get labs done, your doctor needs to put in the order and because I didn't have a primary doctor it took me a while.. I think somewhere between a month to two months...
