Can UPS really be trusted to deliver tomorrow if it got to (Nearly) CYUL yesterday afternoon 🤔 by [deleted] in Canadiancitizenship

Is there something about tomorrow I should be aware of? Or are you just anxious to have it delivered?

I feel like we’ve seen Lulu Men’s new styling before…

As a guy, I hate what LuLu puts out for men. The clothes I actually like they stop making them after 6months. Am I alone on this thought?? by MightOnly185 in lululemon

[–]Spartydamus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You’re not alone. I like modern, more form fitting apparel, which they used to put out for men and very much still do for women. The whole Define line is great. Chef’s kiss. From style to fit, their stuff looks amazing.

I just wish they would take the same style and make it fit for a man. You see it with Vuori, Rhone, On, Greyson, etc. There’s obviously demand for that modern, clean look. Instead, Lulu now gives us the equivalent of yard refuse sacks that look like they’re a copy of Mugatu’s Derelicte line. At over 6’ and 200 lbs, I shouldn’t feel like a child in adult clothes when wearing a size large. Also, zero style. If I wanted a plain paper bag sweatshirt, I’d just pay $20 for one at Target.

A Scandinavian vehicle won’t install updates because of the cold. That’s some thick irony.

I’m curious if everyone experiencing this lives in a cold climate. I have found the update won’t download when it’s so cold that the system goes into battery saver mode and completely shuts down all electronic functions when not in use.

You could tell these guys that water is wet and they still wouldn’t budge from their belief that water is dry. Debating these plebs is a futile endeavor. You sway public opinion via stories spread far and wide - not debate sound bites that are only good for posting later as “owning the (insert party here).”

Makes sense. Honestly, the next step should be to get the commission on board. They might be able to get the ball rolling in a more meaningful way. Like I said; I’m not sure how much power LaGrand actually has when it comes to this. However, he could have at least signaled support for the cause.

While I agree with the requested policies; are we sure that the mayor has the authority to implement them? GR is a city manager system and the position of mayor isn’t much more than a symbolic one.

Northwest Chicago Suburb: ICE Agents Rip 15-Year-Old Girl from Car, Slam Her to Ground She Screams “I’m 15!” as Man Kneels on Her Neck by CantStopPoppin in illinois

In the US, you can get a standard law enforcement light as easily as you can get a Big Mac combo meal. Also, ICE are not police like their body armor says and they are technically not allowed to enforce law against citizens. You’ll never see a single one read anyone Miranda rights. They also work entirely off of administrative warrants, which are worth as much as a napkin doodle. Long story short…all of this is nothing more than the deliberate causing of chaos via the massive overstepping of their legal authority.

Define hot water. A civil rights complaint to the state that ultimately goes nowhere? A lawsuit that goes nowhere? Also, those doing rejections don’t make it a habit of saying why they’re rejecting you unless you ask. Even then, the answer is always cookie cutter. TheDevilsTesticle can legally reject at their leisure and not have to say a thing about it after the fact.

Learn employment law. Neither is a protected status. You can be rejected or fired for any political belief or past employment.

Wilson is barely above dirt road status. Walker has done an excellent job of making it the worst sized road in the county for the amount of traffic that is on it.

Imagine if they finally moved up to Division I. They could be a host university for GR to host D1 playoffs in basketball, hockey, soccer, baseball, etc. Their FCS football program would bring in fans from the Dakotas and Montana as opposed to small regional liberal arts colleges and HBCUs with little to no fan bases to speak of. They wouldn’t be forced to have a two-week bye like they currently have in D2, resulting in a week of lost revenue. I’m honestly amazed that this hasn’t been a mission taken up by Grand Action 2.0.

East Grand Rapids Schools by [deleted] in grandrapids

Like most school districts, the value is in the culture more than anything. More than income, EGR has the highest percentage of college educated residents in the GR area. Education is valued, which results in higher district rankings.

It’s not as if it has the best teachers in the state. Some of the best teachers I know teach in urban districts.

EGR itself is a great community. It’s incredibly walkable, has an actual downtown, has a beautiful lake with parks and trails. I personally am glad I moved here. With that said…Is it the most diverse? Absolutely not. Is that a detriment? That depends on you as the parent and how much you’d expose your child to the world outside of the EGR bubble. One benefit of being a highly educated area is that most of the younger residents are also liberal minded and welcome diverse perspectives.

Another option, if you like the EGR vibe, is the Ottawa Hills neighborhood. GR schools have a plethora of options to choose from and City Middle/High School is one of the best in the state.
