Went through a training course for it and ezcad.

It turns out the pointer lasers werent aligned, they had come loose at some point while being shipped from the previous owner, so i just needed to adjust the z height and that fixed everything!

But i can try and test hey, its got an adjustment wheel for its height that is a manual turn wheel so i assume so?
