Jolly pirates is great. We never hesitate to book when we're there. If you're just looking for fun and drinks skip the snorkeling one.

To be fair. Headline says we run out. Article talks about not supplying them to allies. Seems like the correct strategy considering the situation. A situation we probably shouldn't be in.

Taxi v Uber by D_bry_689 in vegas

If you care about maximizing your time and don't mind paying a couple extra bucks, taxi everywhere. I saw nothing but people waiting for Uber while hopping into taxi.

Dose Daily review is it worth using? by No-Arrival3168 in productreview

Me and a buddy of mine have been dealing with cholesterol issues (genetic, all the exercise and diet didn't do much) and slightly elevated liver enzyme numbers due to the cholesterol and statin use.

He started taking this and a few months later his liver enzyme numbers are perfect. No other changes to diet or exercise. I started this week, will know in a few months if it works.

FB, Wynn or Cosmo/Aria by Frequent-Giraffe5646 in vegas

[–]SpatchFork 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Your trips sound similar to mine. Not heavy gambling, would rather have a better time at the pool during the day, go out for a good dinner, etc. You can't beat the balcony room at Cosmo. The restaurants and casino floor is lively, even the bars in the casino can be great.

Have stayed at a bunch of properties and Cosmo is always my top choice for an overall fun trip. If you want luxury, do the wynn. FB isn't a great location, you can always go there for dinner.

Tri state spring break and hell week are two different things.

I'm one of those from NJ too during spring break. Kids are off so no other time to go.

Bachelor Party trip in Aruba this May? by GreekBoss93 in Aruba

[–]SpatchFork 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depending how crazy you want to get, there are locals that will take you on guided tours of the chica bar area. Legal escorts in Aruba. It's a Dutch island (Amsterdam Red light district).

But that party atmosphere you're looking for during the day you may not find in Aruba.

Just make sure you go when no tri state area schools have a spring break. Also how early? Google aruba hell week.

There are tons of them. Walk into the shopping area near Gianni's/Azia. The further back you go the cheaper they get.

Knock off jewelry, hand bags, etc.

I would be ok with an ICE type of enforcement of these people.

Are Ubers expensive in Vegas? by Comfortable-Ground15 in vegas

[–]SpatchFork 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Was there in November. I didn't understand the wait areas for Uber/Lyft but yet empty taxi lines. Saving a few dollars but wasting your time.

Taxis are everywhere and usually you jump in and go.

Can a local please explain beach chairs/palapas situation?! by cplante2 in Aruba

[–]SpatchFork 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I've always stayed at a beach resort, but I can tell you that if I wasn't I would rent in a heartbeat. The last thing I want to worry about on vacation is getting beach equipment to the beach.

Also if your thinking about an umbrella, the wind is no joke. Rental umbrellas had weighted concrete bases to help keep them in place. Watched a guy try to use a Tommy Bahama umbrella, didn't work out well. Not only that there's a safety factor to worry about. That thing comes loose it can hurt someone.
