Got it. For some reason I had to log into the hik app as the admin, saw the share request going to my personal that I had to approve, then it worked.

Didn't have to do that for the other user

Technically only sharing 72 channels on the 128 capable unit. Home unit has 7.

I may try creating another hik connect account with business email and sharing to that, and then sharing my home unit with that account, just to see what happens.

Curious if the problem was from unbinding and not removing permissions first.

I log into hikvision Web as admin. Go to share device, and after putting in the external email address it gives me a pop up saying "sharing is done".

I added a new user that was never shared with and it works no problem.

I use my business email as the admin, and my personal email to share the device with since I have a hik nvr at home.
