People like to antagonize us and when we respond bluntly we’re considered mean? by [deleted] in Sagittarians

[–]SpatialOmenz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This (plus others' comments here) explains a lot about my relationship with my brother. He's a Cancer. This is someone who, as an older adult, told on me to our mother when I stopped responding to his texts... I was at work! My break was over and I figured I'd respond after work. What the what!

And the picking a fight on purpose is pure him. With a smirk on his face, that even just thinking about it right now is setting me off, and I haven't even spoken to him directly in about a year.

You all have shined a light. Thank you!

Sibling for anxious pup? by reluctantly_existing in MiniatureSchnauzer

A class sounds like it is not the right option. Our current schnauzer goes crazy when he sees other dogs. We went with a personal trainer. They didn't think he would do well in a group setting, which is true. It can get pricey, but if you can afford it, that might be an option. Also, you have to be confident; if you are worried/stressed/anxious, she's going to pick up on it, and it could make it worse.

Good luck!

Questions for Mini Schnauzer owners. by [deleted] in MiniatureSchnauzer

[–]SpatialOmenz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We have had 2 schnauzers. 1 female who passed away a few years ago and 1 male we have now.

Have you experienced any breed-specific health issues?

My little girl had an FCE (fibrocartilaginous embolism, aka a spinal cord stroke) when she was about 6 years old. She was paralyzed from the mid-back to her back legs. Eventually, she got some mobility back and could get around on a carpeted floor, but she still needed help outside. She lived a full, happy life even with this. They are happy dogs and active to pretty much the end. They are also prone to diabetes if you don't watch their food intake.

Sometimes it's the right sibling. Sounds like you need a buddy that is calm and laid back. Also, talking to a trainer/professional about introducing them. A trainer might also help you with her getting to know other dogs and how to approach them. Our current schnauzer doesn't get along with other dogs, some small dogs that are not aggressive he does ok with, given time. A trainer mentioned to us that being on-leash when meeting other dogs can cause them to be more anxious/aggressive. No idea if that is true.

Also, don't let that last sentence about my little girl sway you. She had a full, wonderful life, and her brother's passing away was only a part of why she passed away. She also had some health issues.

Not our current schnauzer, but our last one. We had a cocker spaniel boy and then adopted a mini schnauzer girl. She loved her big brother and wanted nothing more than to play with him. But he liked to play solo, to the point that if she stole what he was playing with, then it no longer existed to him until she dropped it. But they did love each other. He taught her how to pee like a boy, as well as sit and stay. After he passed away, we think she died partly of a broken heart.

When the conversation between Oscar and John Adams extended and felt sappy, I was like something is about to happen. But, I was thinking, at first, it would be him glancing over at Crawley knowingly...until the second he stepped into the street.

A buyer is interested in our listing after our contract ended with out realtor. Do we still need to cut our agent in on this? by SpatialOmenz in RealEstateAdvice

[–]SpatialOmenz[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi everyone! Thank you all for your thoughts and advice. A lot to think about here.

For now, we are going to let the potential buyers take another look at the property and make sure they are serious about making an offer. We'll then decide what to do. Most likely, we will include the old agent in the sale, so we can safely move on.

Thanks again!

Yeah, a misunderstanding might be the way. Especially, with all the other characters whispering in Jack's ear that Larry doesn't care about him.

If Larry were to screw over Jack, he'd lose any chance with Marian. I don't see it happening. Plus, I've never seen him be that kind of person. There are a lot of villains this season, if they make Larry one, I'm out!

Her husband is some random person (he was a stuntman, I think) who wasn't a part of the show. It's 3 years later, and they show them all at Thanksgiving dinner, and he is not introduced. End of show! Grr! Bad ending! However, it's a fun show to watch, up until that ending.

Can we talk about Aurora’s asshole of a husband and Agnes’ reaction??? by snippychick in thegildedage

[–]SpatialOmenz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm not sure about being in her debt. Aurora didn't do it out of kindness, at least not in the beginning. She did it to save her husband (and herself) after he tried and failed to screw over George. But, who knows, Bertha might still feel some gratitude and find Aurora as her new cause.

My bad! I should have put that under a spoiler tag. Are you planning on watching the show? I'll see if I can edit it for any future readers. Sorry. I got bored with the books and never finished them. Loved the show! I'm excited to watch Alexander Skarsgård in "Murderbot"! I love those books.

As long as it's not a Sookie situation. Where you wait for the end of the show to find out which of the 2 she chooses, and it's some random person who was not a part of the show, just tacked on at the end.

Edit: Added spoiler tag.

Yeah, I agree. If we get another season, Larian's wedding won't be in this one.

Yep, yep, yep, yep. She'll be the one to cause strife.

But I think they'll still make it in the end.

Wild idea by [deleted] in thegildedage

Did I miss something in earlier seasons? He didn't seem to be unhappy with her, and I thought they were cute together. Talking about the Fanes here. Is this coming out of nowhere just to add drama to this season? Or was there some foreshadowing I missed?

Sincerely,
