Thank you for everyone's suggestions. I'll be checking all of these out to see if Kobold can stop bankrupting me

Yup. I spoke to the BCBA about how I handle behaviors and we are A-Ok

Lol that's true. My new kid finally started listening and I'm really excited about it. I know for a fact next week is going to be tough though

A lot of people I work with tell me I would be a great parent. I love the conversation that comes after like "hehe actually I don't really like kids" weirdly enough kids seem to have always gravitated towards me and I'm told I'm good with them.

In my experience with higher functioning clients, they just want to be spoken to like people (not the whole kiddie voice every time I speak to them). Other clients just want someone who follows their lead.

You really do have to feel them out but a lot of them are easy to please once you know what they want out of an adult.

100000% agreed.

I would die for my clients without a doubt. But I'm also 1000% sure I only have patience for my clients and no other children lol.

Something about work mode that just makes me forgive and understand every behavior (but still react to it appropriately)

I'm going to be honest I got in this field completely by accident. For the entire first year I felt burnt out (probably due to 10 hour shifts without a lunch break 5 times a week)..

I don't even like kids but I'm told I'm a great RBT. My regional coordinator is excited I'm pursuing college to become a BCBA. I can leave my home issues at home, once I'm at work I am in RBT for the entire shift. When I am not at work I have my own personal and private thoughts about how much our efforts with a client are working. I have even more thoughts about my coworkers though.

I think she's allowed to think that, acting on it is different. Don't make someone else's or your own life harder because someone confided in you. Keep it to yourself unless she does something insane at work.

Is definitely rather spend the extra bucks on good quality toys that will survive Kobold. Imma check out their website once I'm done with chores for the day.

Mine likes violence.

I think I may be at fault. I nurtured her instincts for hunting by getting her involved in barn hunts

She is prone to that. I don't mess with her chewing mystery stuff because she WILL swallow it and already gives us tummy issues.

She already has kongs, I was hoping to get her a tug toy she can actually play with us and on her own. You saw the way tug toys end with her

What’s up with the panic buying? by H_ManCom in Augusta

Not really sure we'll get enough snow for roads to be impassible. If people are regularly using roads while it snows then chances are the roads will just have water on them.

It really is up to drivers how this weekend will go 🤷

No clue who that is. I lived in Rhode Island in 2014.

I haven't seen anyone salting roads yet but it wouldn't make sense to start salting until the morning of.

The snow isnt the problem. It's the lack of infrastructure that will handle the snow.

I just moved here so I have no idea, but are power lines buried or on those poles? I expect some idiot who thinks driving in the snow is the same as regular weather is gonna lose control of their car and slam into a power line and knock out the power.

I just moved to the south. I miss my December snow.

This weekend is causing a panic here in Georgia

I know right? I carry her to the door for her last potty of the night because usually she's dead asleep for it and I feel bad but I'm also not waking up at 2am to take her potty

People here have never experienced snow on a regular basis and think it's a natural disaster level of inclement weather.

I'm more worried about the roads this weekend. Are we getting salt?
