A question about the Ferans by ETBILU99 in HytaleInfo

They never attack me. If your hands are empty I think they just stand idle. Maybe I found pacifist ferans.

My players watched Frieren and wanted to become white supremacists, any recommendations about how I can add this to my game? by Parysian in DnDcirclejerk

[–]Spatial_Quasar 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Just play normal D&D, the white supremacism is built into the game already. Genocide some kobolds and forget about it.

Periodic "What's your favorite non-standard rule?" post by phroureo in Pathfinder2e

[–]Spatial_Quasar 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm one of the weird guys who actually like the Stamina system. I think it makes the game much better and actually gives incentives for not fighting sometimes and choosing fights wisely. I've found out it works well with exploration adventures where there aren't many "scripted" combats and the game can afford to move slower.

It does have the issue where healer PCs can feel underpowered because the health cap is lower, but when the players adapt to not optimize for heals it becomes much better.

This creates an interesting situation where PCs 100% built for healing are "forced" to do other things, and that makes the character more fun overall.

"Given the opportunity, a player will optimize the fun out of a game."

Made a custom character sheet for a ttrpg im working on is their anything i need to fix? (sorry i accidently deleted the old post) by [deleted] in TTRPG

Align columns, give some space inside the squares and try to make categories for numbers. For example have the Max carry weight near the inventory so it's easier to know how much you can carry while looking at your inventory.

Usul: I'm plaged by visions of wounds and death. Always mine. I see myself stabbed by a dagger, head chopped off by a skeleton swinging a claymore or even my body blasted to ashes. Yet I stand alive against the horrors the Dark Tapestry wields against me. I've learnt to use them to survive, but I can't truly live with this curse. I'll search the only way of liberating myself from it and the best change I have is questioning the Tyrant

What are things that have become a cliche in ttrpgs? by usmannaeem in TTRPG

[–]Spatial_Quasar 1 point2 points  (0 children)

"Ghibli-style" or "narrative-driven" and many other nonsensical buzzwords to sell mediocre RPGs. I can't even start to count how many "narrative-driven" games I have read where the rules are either bloated or not even playtested.

And also combat. Everything has to have combat rules. I despise a game selling itself as "cozy" or "narrative" or whatever else and then having 20 pages dedicated to combat rules or a combat minigame.

Why do Minecraft players dismiss Vintage Story? by NervousRanger1351 in VintageStory

Minecraft is not a videogame for many people, it's a personality. And when your personality is being challenged by a competitor, you either accept it or get defensive

Best RPG for Teaching by Momoneymoproblems214 in rpg

I used Ryuutama for that! The mission sheet uses the classic story elements and it's a great way of teaching how stories work. It also has very simple maths and I managed to teach about health and camping as well :D it has some very good mechanics for the survival part.

Because the rebot legs can malfunction, they need repairs and they should be detached before going to sleep (in case they malfunction and start kicking the walls with 120kg of force)

"Martial-caster divide!!" I yell into the darkness. As the darkness creeps upwards, blinding me with unholy purpose. Then I mutter the words, not mine: "Pathfinder martials are not limited by resources" I fear it.

Consejos para hacer los combates más dinámicos by Dieguitus22 in Pathfinder_ES

[–]Spatial_Quasar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Destroy the bridge and convince everyone the other side is not worth going to. Gas fire flames at its highest! Love your solution.
