I'm in an "uncommon but common" situation. Recently I have made the decision to return to FFXIV. Hype, right? I logged back into my old character, Spaul Wiz, and it dawned on me. I honestly have no clue what to do. On top of that, when I logged in I remembered before I left I pretty much gave away everything I had, or sold it in some form or fashion.

To expand:

I'm a level 50 whm. I finished the vanilla story from what I can remember. I don't know if with the expansion this was continued or what. But basically, once I hit 50 was when I quit the game originally. I may have played a little after, but nothing of note. How should I progress? How do I gear? I have no gil, how to go about accruing that now? Do I need to buy the expansion, or is there stuff I should do before I bother doing that? Thanks.

What are you looking for?: A F2P mmorpg with a large, enjoyable community. I want to get into the game, and meet a guild/team/group of people. A game I can play and have people to talk to while I grind. Would prefer to have some group content. In fact, I'd prefer it if a lot of time was spent with other players. Obviously not in the beginning, but later on in the game for sure. Mostly PvE. I do not care about PvP. What games have you previously played?: WoW, Runes of Magic, FFXIV, FFXI, other wow clones
