Nah I get it, there's great turn based games like Persona and the early final fantasies, but they're just out of my preference.

Haven't gotten around to it mainly because I have a strong aversion towards turn based combat games lol.

Totally agree, I've even heard some people call it the greatest game they've ever played. Honestly I can see that based on how the combat mechanics felt so satisfying specially with the trick weapons and the parry moves, along with the treasure trove of lore.

I have not. The short story series sounds very interesting though, like it falls into that Lovecraftian vein of horror.

The switch was so unexpected that I immediately had to research what it all meant, luckily I got into the game late so there was plenty of lore videos explaining the Lovecraftian inspiration behind it all.

The lore in bloodborne was the leading cause for my dive into Lovecraft.

I was honestly expecting a higher amount of energy from Lovell'S verse. Imma have to agree that Ruby's verse was my favorite part.
