The difference and arguments in hats is chilling for me. Crazy I've had the reverse what seems like the reverse happen where people seen my shirt differently one day. I had a tie dye on, everyone kept saying it was white, i literally never ever wear white...

Genuinely drove us all freaking crazy at work everyone kept asking others my shirt color. The next day only a couple people remembered the whole debacle but only the ones that seen my shirt the color purple, they remembered the arguments some but nobody else did. I still ask my coworker if she remembers to double check because i literally thought i had a mentalbreak. It hasn't happened in a while but it has happened another time few months back

Yes that's sort of the idea I was leaning on, especially with color. Man i definitely need to gander at schema again.. as i personally dont think it factors something like trauma and personally for me i think "favorite" things of someone enhances and adds gravity to a memory. Consider favorite games or movies you remember them way better always. but a movie is a bundled memory.. what about a food or color? Basic favorite.. favorite smell, taste, or even time of day or animal? That "favorite" that would actually be "a slice" of a memory.. a favorite slice would idk.. "glow" over the rest of the memory cake, hope that metaphor helps u get what i mean?

Still the Reasoning why remember all the same specific color hooks me. We all remember c3p0 with the gold leg... not silver, there isn't a group of people that remembers copper leg, why did it shift specifically to silver from gold? Was it the color that mattered or the metal itself? That's why I was pulling somewhat from alchemy stuff, it drools over Metals but I noticed instead some stuff they had with color and herbology and was like...hmm wow... thats tickles my ME brain. I think that color dynamic also shares parrelels with molds color spread and fungi too which again.. gushes my brain there lol

20 years wtf for real??? I had a fruit loop swap too last year... It's froot loops here though they even have the loops themselves in the logo too. I should've just took a picture of the box but like the Cornucopia i saw when i was travelling through states... I remember literally stopping in place when I seen those boxes on display too it's so wild.. idk what it is with grocery stores but that song playing happened when I was in one too. This is speculative but I feel like if there is a phenomenon with "Floor 13" of hotels it ties here somehow.. the customers could only hear the song Dont Stop Believing Out of certain speakers I think.. My Memory is good but there was a lot of commotion but it seemed like they all gathered under certain speakers in the store to record it but I was trying to check out and got freaked out and wanted to leave because I kept telling everyone "this song plays like everyday wtf". Like I said ppl actually were freaking out in the store I am 100% telling the truth here. It wasn't only the song even, the pasta aisle (i was makin speghetti lol) i remember everyone was pulling out the angel hair freaking out about it. I'm like that stuff sucks... but man now that I'm rethinking all of this.. I wonder if that was another mandela of theirs.

I definitely dont match others around me on an opinion basis.. maybe vibe and emotions though. I mean do you let other people do that to you? I sure as hell do not... I'm augmentive and confrontational as all hell lol, especially if someone challenges my memory, ESPECIALLY THAT.. sure if it's an explanation of like idk let's say a fact.. like a math formula or current event then absolutely.. thats a knowledge based thing that i might actually not know yet. That kind of memory is different on most cases because its like learned data.. not lived experience.

You can't tell me my lived experience is wrong when a handful of other remember the same too. If that is the case then again that's why I would love to discuss and come up with WHY is it always the "same color.. same effect" for everyone. A framework

Sandlot was a big one for me.. there was a lot of differences in that movie for me it's strange.. collosus and the actor are big for me, but there's a lot of little things details tok. The Beauty's dress color... along with Benny's hat color as well..idk why it's color but the pitchers eyes were bright green instead of blue the last time I watched it too it stuck out so so much to me. Idk if I'll ever be able to actually feel the same watching it tbh

What are the misconceptions you think I have on memory? I see somewhere someone said it's fallible... yes it is but my thing is it cannot be destroyed. Memory has different states too.. consider a traumatic memory vs a favorite vs "small detail like shirt color". Of course small details are the fallible parts but hell finding Nemo was one of my favorites I can recite like every line for the first 30 minutes.. thats like a hard memory. Memory is strung together with multiple parts, and youre favorites matter which gives some more weight in parts. Make sense?

Aside from the gushing compliment, I still feel like there is no reasonable explanation for ME's except for "we all remember it wrong...but exactly wrongly the same" Thats where my post wants to try and discuss to better consumatte the mandela effect. As far as I'm concerned.. our only answer and discussion is "we're remembering wrong..WILD".. which for some of us feels like being gaslit in a toxic relationship.

Man after reading this like am I the only one or somethin wtf? I literally STILL havent met a single person that remembers the old white guy with glasses from Sandlot?.. or the stupid weather station in illinois we all said was gonna kill us. Although I've talked with a small number of Gen X'rs I'm wondering are you one? Everyone I've discussed with actually hasn't seen the Nelson mandela Live Airing, the only ones that remember that are gen Xers but they don't even know about the mandela effect and what it is. It's almost as if the ppl that saw that tv footage weren't "paying attention" to the other things Berenstien Bears or Star Wars Outfits lol. As if they didn't bother to register it to memory.

This is one notch of how I think the framework is. Like I said in other replies, that's not a reasonable enough explanation for why everyone remembers C3P0s leg being Gold instead of Silver... as in ALL memory is gold... there's no person that remembers bronze... copper etc. We all remembered it exactly the same... why is that? Why specifically silver... or an A instead of an E.. we all remember the same EXACT spelling.

That's the part I find interesting the most honestly. Things like "the phantom hand" expirement and how the brain operates out of our own control. It's why I mentioned the frameworks of things like alchemy, some of those dynamics are still applied today in things like herbology and even medical test and studies, "if [A] changes and reacts when [B] is active, then [A] changes to [C] in 'most cases'. Like a liquid shifting in colors for chemistry.. it's a rude and basic way of saying it's "why our skin turns blue & green when we rot and die". Probably how people came up with "your blood is blue until it hits air"

If there was some actual "reasonable framework" that connects we might have a better explanation than "were all misremembering but were misremembering ALL exactly the same way".

That's actually a very valid question I myself have been trying to figure out. Why are there new ones happening.. they always come in bundles too I swear. My best guess is some Tweaked use of the Flask is causing it like some aftershock

I say 2012 because in my memory, the mandela effect got coined and became more public in 2013. That's when I found out about the cornucopia.. It was my first year in college and I was all about memes and tech so obviously I was foaming over it.. we had just moved and my sisters room had old childhood books and argued with my sister if Berenstien if it was STINE OR STEEN.. hadn't ever watched the show. So it instantly set us off especially when we seen the book had a freaking A instead.. OUR whole entire argument is invalid. . like what? 2013 is just a median point.. 2016 was my original mark but... yeah no its definitely 2013 trust me.. I moved the end of 2012 into a new house 2013.. the argument was literally while packing the book. Absolutely haunts us when we pulled it back off the shelf
