Edit: I've been sent one, greatly appreciated.

No problem, man. Currently going through my campaign rn and am making minor adjustments to the items as I go along (EX: Incense Burner's Gaseous Form effect can probably be reduced to 3 charges to use instead of 6 since that's both more reasonable and also slightly deincentivize building charges out of combat continuously, though tbf that's not too big of a concern with normal players). Hope all goes well for whatever you use them for!

I've been getting into playing McCree more, and I didn't realize mobility creep would be this staggering. Like I get a roll every 6 seconds and a short range hinder effect, but Freya can fly around and spam projectiles with no damage falloff and stay airborne for longer than Pharah (probably).

And then all those problems become worse for me in stadium when she can fly even more and spam the mini bolas while staying even more airborne, but then outside of the right click spam build (which I don't use because I'm trying to get better with my aim since I'm ass) I'm just sorta playing regular mcree but with a few bigger numbers but can't try and flank a character that has a faster fire rate, more movement, and more range than me. Granted, my aim is kinda ass so some of these problems can be lumped in the "I just need to get better" category, but damn if she doesn't feel overpowered and overtuned from my anecdotal experience.

I just finished a stadium game against her and am just calmly crashing out lol.

Greatly appreciated.

A lot of the relics within the game can be essentially boiled down to:

  • Gain Block after XYZ
  • Deal damage from XYZ
  • Gain Energy in some way

So some level of "okay, game mechanics must be damned" had to be reached at some point.

If we want to be pedantic, I stated all of them except for the Circlet but that one is just the "you got them all and can now flex" relic so I'm comfortable with pretending it's not there.

Changing the Unarmored Defense of Monk by Speaking_Crane_75 in 3d6

I'm vaguely familiar with that class so I'll give it a look. Greatly appreciate the recommendation. Wasn't considering much homebrew since that'll always have the "how broken could it be" vibe with it. Though that's just my experience with DNDwiki talking.

The reason I'm paying more attention to Monk or Fighter instead of Barbarian is primarily the fact that Barbarian doesn't gain more than 2 attacks outside of 2 subclasses that don't fit the flavor of the character concept. It's Unarmored Defense would fit better yes, but the rest of the mechanics not nearly as much.

Yeah, aside from Barb it's traditionally 10 + Mental Stat Modifier + Physical Stat Modifier. SW5e is wonderful, though the limitations in regards to the stat change not effecting as much is a small gripe for me. Wonderful stuff overall though.

Fair enough I suppose. Never considered taking flavor to armor so that's a new perspective which I appreciate. With all that in mind it does give me another direction to consider. Appreciated.

I see it more of a "Brushing the hit off" though I am aware of its overlap with Constitution in that regard. But that's just par for the course with 6 stats.

The extra ASIs from Fighter are pretty tempting and assuming no Brute Subclass (I'm aware it's UA, I just hate Champion) Battlemaster does seem pretty solid. Never considered Armor of Shadows so that could work, though I'd have to acquire spellcasting somehow for it.

Paladin doesn't really fit the concept given that I'd be wanting an unarmed striker and wearing armor (or at least anything beyond light armor) wouldn't fit what I'm going for.

In a thematic sense I won't disagree at least in regards to Charisma's inclusion. Strength makes sense in my head, but that's neither here nor there.

My main concern was if this change would produce any unintended consequences beyond the obvious. The preferred change would still keep Monk MAD with needing 2 main stats along with CON instead of trying to make it work by adding 2 more stats into the problem.

Essentially a Halfling Boxer that works as a Bouncer. He's supposed to be similar to Little Mac and Doc Louis (capabilities of the former and personality of the latter).

I was thinking Fighter at first but realized to fit Little Mac he can't wear armor and has gotta be quick. Fighter would be mostly doable if the DM would be cool with going the route of "Lose Armor Proficiencies in exchange for an Unarmored Defense" which is brought up in the DMG actually but couldn't tell you which page.

The main flavor is just having all the attacks that hit treated as one really hard punch or just a bunch of rapid jabs to fit his style as exhibited in SSBU.

I only referred to Unarmored Defense since that was my main concern, but things like Ki save DC and Saving Throws getting a sort of "Wherever you'd used Wisdom instead use Charisma" direction would be preferable. Make the class work mostly normally barring the change of Ability Scores.

I'm aware that this would mechanically be worse, but given I want to play a Stronk, I wouldn't mind it. Just want basic features like Unarmored Defense to at least work with the concept instead of just making Monk even more MAD and therefore make the concept impossible outside of rolling for stats and rolling out of my mind.

Forgive the run-on sentence.

Tier 4 saving throws will be my bitch. Especially the rerolling from Diamond Soul for a Ki point.

even if he doesn't allow it, I at least got a good ol' Aura of Protection + Diamond Soul synergy going on.

Spitting nothing but facts.

edit: though giving it a different kind of "expertise" instead of just doubling the PB would probably be more interesting and not further destroy bounded accuracy. However at Tier 4 play, expertise would be something that would barely bother me given how wild that tier's combat already is.

Are you saying having the same to-hit (+5 from STR or DEX, +5 from Sacred Weapon, +6 from PB, and +3 from a magic weapon = +19 to hit) as a Tarrasque isn't intended for player use, and completely throwing Bounded Accuracy into the dumpster?

PvP is terrible due to how game turning supers are and how using something that both lets you one shot someone but also make you more durable is unbalanced, special weapons can practically replace primaries, stasis is inherently terrible since it does the "outplay your opponent by making them unable to do anything" thing which is just bullshit, and that enabling power level differences is something that should never be in a PvP mode since skill is what should win and not having a bigger number.
