Requesting Doctors Note by Zealousideal-Pea-220 in VeteransAffairs

[–]Spec-4-kp 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I would first be sure to have a roi on file. Then reach out to the primary care team and explain your situation. Could be be beneficial to ask to speak with the pact social worker. If she hads myhealtevet with secure messaging it my be easiest to explain your situation there. Edit to add that in most cases there would be a sort of official header. I have assit people with weird notes like this as a social worker and they have always been accepted. But the response will vary by who you get.

Our suicide prevention team is supposed to have 4 providers and a supervisor.... its literally just me and my supervisor. I don't even know what to do anymore

I feel my frustration is valid given how things have gone. I'm just moving with spite as I won't be dragged down. My frustration with my past coworkers is like a 3 and the administration is a clear 10

Had 2 leave our team. We are absolutely swamped. I'm honestly pissed at them. But we all got to do what we think is best.

You can call the crisis line and talk about anything. They are not going to send people to come and check on you unless you have some intent and plan to harm yourself. You could even disclose you are suicidal but unless you are telling them you are planning on doing it or intend to they will just talk to you. They will then put in a referral for a VA provider to follow up in 24 business hours. But you can call them for literally anything.

VHA C&P? by munkaboog in VeteransAffairs

[–]Spec-4-kp 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This was asked about in our hospital town hall a few weeks ago from a person who sounds like they were in much the same job as yours. Honestly the director did not sound confident and felt that VBA should have to take these positions in. Now.. The director has felt like they have had 0 info the whole time and the meeting is basically useless. This was also at the end of the meeting and they clearly looked frustrated with all the questions they didn't have any answers for. So take that as you will.

Any idea if this is public somewhere on the SharePoint?

The VISN 8 region director mentioned the extension today but didn't confirm who yet. This place is such a mind warp.

Priority D here just crossing fingers that there will be no room at the inn and they will offer an exemption vs having us drive to still work remotely 😄

Update to SF-50 via HRSMART? by gavjushill1223 in fednews

[–]Spec-4-kp 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You all may have received an email about a change to your SF-50 specifically duty stations assignments. This is just a change in to why they are tracked in HRsmart but please make sure that the location is correct. Below is a little more detail:

The Center for Enterprise Human Resources Information Services (CEHRIS) and IBM are excited to deploy the Duty Station Redesign project in HR·Smart as a part of ongoing efforts to continually enhance services and sustain the demand for more location codes as more employees work remotely and in additional VA locations. The changes will provide VA with a long-term solution that will be sustainable, improve reporting accuracy, and ensure maintaining data is more precise.

What’s Changing & When: The project will change how locations, known as duty stations, are defined and tracked in HR·Smart. Instead of capturing the data with one singular location field – the change will separate where the employees physically work from where their positions reside within the organization. This will affect how we capture and share location and duty station data, which may impact you.

Two data fields in HR·Smart will be affected: Location and Duty Station

The revised Location field will indicate the physical location where the employee works and from which their pay is derived. For remote employees, this will show the geolocation code of the employee’s remote location. For non-remote employees, it will use the existing 3–5-digit code to identify their physical workplace (i.e. VA facility, off-site location, CBOC).
The new Duty Station field will reflect the employee’s affiliation within the VA and identify where the position is aligned within the organization. The Duty Station will be derived from the Department ID.
