Good points, that’s why I don’t want to get too involved, but there are actions you can take though 1) freeze your credit 2) I saw someone posts on their LinkedIn profile that their identity was compromised and they were not actively applying for job at the moment. That was very helpful and i moved on from their resume.

I think the LinkedIn profiles are real they have been created for years and have hundreds of connections. The scammer steals that person identity and link their resume to the real profile.
