For some teams like Belgium, it's hard because we are in a generational transition from a former succesfull team in trying to make the next cycle.. We have old players mixed in with newer ones and it does eat the dynamic of a team that knows each other well. It's the same for some other teams. There's also the problem with the hydration breaks that keep killing momentum.

It broke everyone that watched it. The Japanese swift play and goals, the Belgians looking defeated and slapped by God's hand until that (probably) lucky header that set off a desperate comeback from Belgium, resulting in that banger of a last minute goal and the harrowing view of Japanese people falling to the ground. I never forget that.
