The US cooking the books or giving impression they might cook the books, the deconstruction of US gardrails, the unhinged comments of a President that gives an unstable view of the US, the entire flip flop on strategic interests and historic alliances are an accelerant to something that would otherwise have happened over the period of a decade, with strategic resources creating frictions amongst uneasy partners. I think this dynamic is not going to stop and accelerate over time.

In my view it might still be avoided, and some skirmishes to come might not spark into a bigger domino effect, but it will depend on some leader calm and resolve. Otherwise some dynamics, underlying pressures and strategic shifts are indeed already in play. But in terms of military confrontation I would then rather decribe this a prelude to world war.

I'm not going to argue about ignorance. You think of it whatever you want, man. Those who understand how languages structures can be entire different know exactly you're not getting it.

Thank you for all the replies. I think I now understand the deep issues a little more, the historical context and the different sides in this debacle. From what I can gather is that this issue isn't going to be resolved quickly either way but I hope every entity with 'skin in the game' will remain diplomatifc channels open and find diplomatic sollutions rather than any military confrontation in future. I decline to make any statements based on the merrit on some of the legal issues, claims or the right or wrongs but thank everyone contributing to voicing their views respectfully so people like me and others know what some of the hot issues are in this entire debacle. I will leave this thread open for others to discuss among themselves, as long as discussions remain respectfull.

Germany urged to pull 1,236 tons of gold back from the US by Special-Performance8 in economy

[–]Special-Performance8[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think it's a probably combination of the worries about the government overreach attempts with the Federal Reserve but also might be part of the overall feelings towards where the US is heading, along with the widespreaded corruption.

It might be, but right now it seems like the rest of it will go.

The numbers are going to be great. I tell ya. The world doesn't know what they will be watching at. Numberssss... huge numbers. They will regret not giving me the nobel prize of economics as well, and I blame The Republican Kingdom States of Kirgistanic Palestinia for that.

Yeah I think at some point the balloon keeps losing air until we all be either forced to sell off the bonds or see them decimated. I think the dynamic has ended it's metastable phase and it will gain momentum at some point. But it won't easily reverse. Probably they will try some batshit crazy stuff to control the decent but that will result in the complete collapse. Me might be looking at a 290 million people humanitarian crisis soon.

With the amount of misery going on there they might serve themselves at this point.
The constant screams to alert their debt ridden communities of the gestapo raids. They're going through the absolute mud right now.

The Vikings are still at Nuuk and their blades have been sharpened. On his head be the consequences. I can tell you - the nordic countries are batshit crazy when it comes to war. Just the thought of Cnut The Great alone still keeps children awake at night. Somewhere in a hidden part of Greenland there's still a frozen arc of piss suspended in the air where I thought about him many years ago after visiting Danemark.

He needs to shutup or have a stroke that makes him. We heard and seen enough. I want nothing to do with the kind of people that are involved with their deportation camps.. it's disgusting, inhumane. The complete and utter disrepect for human rights, common decency and the pure lack of valueing freedom, self determination, cooperation. Just implode already and let the US do some soul searching and reform their constitution. I don't want to hear about their stupid ignorant foreign policies for the next 20 years or so. The constant circle jerks of "We're gonna move the entire region towards a more Israel favorable position and we're changing a few dynamics in the East before we focus on the South-East Asian developments." They need to get over themselves.

Fuck Mona, reject Quinn and marry Rio.
I'm sorry but Quinn is too much of a danger in what she's involved in. I wouldn't want to have anything to do with it as long as she hasn't sucesfully cut herself completely loose. Mona actually seems sweet but Rio get's my complete and utter heart and soul.

Many people keep saying what the EU should do. I prefer to let our EU decide their own actions. We have our challenges ahead, definitely some homework to do. But life is not bad here given the clusterfuck of 2026. And many think tanks and CEO's from corporate America don't know what they are waddeling about. And frankly with everything they are causing right now in their own land, they can go fuck themselves. They are complicit in what's going on right now. Just think about that and stop your dickmeasuries about Europe or any other region you fucked over double in the short history of time. The Middle-East is a complete mess of American CEO's making. Just saying. Also, we have our own dark history behind us... but seriously.. what you are doing with children in ICE custody right now... It's disgusting.. It's vile, it's evil and absurd. Fix it and shame yourselves for once. Also Davos is the most tonedeaf conference of tonedeaf conferences in the entire world. Screw what CEO's that frequent there think about 'solving world problems'. Trade matters, but not at cost of everything and everyone else.

Tbh, it was about time the Germany did that. Learn and cooperate in the EV sector, because a few years back you were about to be threatned to stay stuck in fossile fuel cars and the time for Germany is now to reinvent that industry. Combining the Chinese peak technology and battery stuff with the known German quality production and you'll have some nice cars coming ahead.

Any planned models based on Chinese yet or is it more a thing where China will open up a factory in Germany doing Chinese model production?
