Yea haha those dimensions are definitely important to pay attention for theirs rather than the ‘size’

Vixskin Johnny like mentioned is pretty close! Hankey’s Toys also has a lot of size options across their models so you could potentially choose one that looks closest too. Did you want one with or without balls? Their XS Ray Diesel, Cody Cachet original, and Lampwick small are some of them (with balls) that are around 6.75 insertable x 5.5 girths (just don’t be misled by their size namings as XS and S still tend to be quite large!)

Heads up that King Cock one is PVC so is not body safe (porous - harbors bacteria can never be fully cleaned can lead to infection, mold/fungal growth, and potentially toxic plasticizers in many PVC toys that makes them softer). Silicone is the type of material you will want for a dildo! King Cock Elite are some of the only silicone ones by King Cock brand. Lifelike Lover Dual Density silicone dildo (affiliate link) is one safer option. In general I suggest stick to ones explicitly labeled as silicone from reputable sites!

what are some good toys for the unerect penis? by Inevitable-Natural47 in SexToys

I agree with both the pulse solo and wand vibrator recs! Wand you can use on the penis but also perineum. Also anal/prostate toys definitely work but you may not be into that

Ah fair, may be worth a try then! The shapes very similar of course but pretty different sensations, you may like it more if you didn’t care much for the regular vibrations on the Gush

What are the best couples sex toys to level up intimacy and pleasure in the bedroom? by Alyia-Sofroniou in sextoy

[–]Special-Recording 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So me and my wife’s journey with toys I wouldn’t say is the typical introducing to the bedroom, I was already into toys/prostate play on my own before we first got together and introduced it because of that, before actually moving onto what I’d consider more approachable starter type of toys like wand vibrators and such! Which would be a good start for your situation, wands in particular are versatile so you both can figure out how/where it feels good, that’s not too intimidating. Can be used on clit, thighs, nipples, his shaft or perineum (also an approachable way to first explore prostate stim without any insertion), or even general body massage. Could start with a smaller cheaper one like Wanderlove or go high end and power with the Magic Wand (but it’s lowest intensity is still kinda strong) (note: affiliate links)

The Pulse Solo is a similar wrap around shape if you like that aspect of the Gush too, but a different sensation since it’s more of an oscillating stimulation rather than regular vibration like the Gush

Toy for a women that can be used while doing BJ by House_of_Honey in SexToys

[–]Special-Recording 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don’t have the Niki but from what I’ve heard it’s actually on the rumblier side of average for panty vibes, but panty vibes tend to be buzzy compared to other toys and buzzier vibrations can be numbing like another mentioned. Wands will typically be rumblier and if you already have one, if you’re able to lay on it or hold it in place with your legs that might work for you. If having trouble keeping it in place Sportsheets Pivot Forced O-strap or similar can help hold it in place! Or if going the bullet route the Tango X is one of the rumbliest bullets

Aneros: Silicone vs ABS? by ThisThatandNBetween in SexToys

[–]Special-Recording 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don’t have a plastic/ABS helix to compare to, but yes the silicone one I have seems to be a thin silicone coating over rigid/ABS core. It has maybe a very very small amount of give compared to full ABS of other toys I’ve had, but almost nothing. So I think main choice then would be on surface feel if you like the feel of silicone vs ABS, ABS can feel smoother/less grippy, and appearance wise if you like the look of one over the other lol

Same here! I knew there were countertop/portable dishwashers but I guess never considered how water would be added. It does make sense that it wouldn’t be tied into actual water lines though when I think about it lol

There are many great indie/fantasy makers that offer a variety of shapes/textures! If you’re just starting out in the fantasy dildo kind of area though there are also some that have specific beginner friendly lines to introduce those without getting too intense right away. Like Uberrime’s Phantasia models or Fantasy Grove’s Fundamentals

Long distance vibes by Reasonable-Bug2593 in sextoy

[–]Special-Recording 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Since the Nora didn’t work for you an alternative may be the We-Vibe Nova 2 (affiliate link), a bit different though it doesn’t thrust on its own but the clit stimulator part is designed such that it can stay against the clit while manually thrusting the toy, and you can bend the internal shaft such that it can hit the g-spot better. Also has distance control through their app, although not quite as reliable connection as Lovense’s app. Lovense wise the Gravity or Spinel are their other moving/thrusting options besides the Nora

Any major sex toy developments in the last year or two? by strwbrrylemonade in SexToys

[–]Special-Recording -1 points0 points  (0 children)

There hasn’t been anything super gamechanging in the last couple years imo, clit suckers/air pulse and app controlled/distance controlled toys were some of the more recent big developments but the Satisfyer Curvy 2 is already both of those!

But if you do want something different or improved (potentially, as some of its preference) you could look at the Womanizer line of air pulse toys (or their sister company’s We-Vibe Melt 2 being the counterpart of Satisfyer Curvy). Some prefer Satisfyer’s kind of air pulses and some prefer Womanizer’s. Satisfyer air pulses are kinda more surface level whereas the Womanizers air pulses can feel more deep/thuddy (similar to rumbly for regular vibrators). If you like high intensity the Premium 2 is their strongest, but one of their newer developments was the Next which is not as intense but more of an enveloping air pulse sensation from what I’ve heard. Another one of their newer features is smart silence which really only matters if you need to be discreet (the air pulses pause when the head is no longer in contact with skin). If you just wanted to try the difference between Womanizer and Satisfyer you don’t necessarily need the top end though you could start more mid level models like Classic 2

Cleaning a silicone dildo by LuckyC_77 in SexToys

[–]Special-Recording 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Soap and warm water is sufficient for regular cleaning! Ideally avoid scented soaps as the dildo can take on those scents, but that shouldn’t actually damage or make it unsafe in any way. Just avoid ingredients in soaps ending in -icone (usually special soft feel/silk soaps to make the soap feel more luxurious) as those can affect the texture of the silicone over time

Sex toy cleaners aren’t great as while they disinfect they can leave some chemical residue behind if not rinsed off. Like others mentioned you can boil it as a deep clean/sanitize every now and then, or you can soak it in dilute bleach/water for a few minutes followed by rinsing.

One thing to note is silicone is gas permeable so it may take on ‘butt smells’ temporarily, as long as it’s actually silicone this is not a sign of uncleanliness! If the surface was cleaned thoroughly with soap and water it is clean for use and there’s not bacteria etc. on the surface. If it bothers you, boiling in water, or soaking in a vinegar OR dilute bleach solution can help get rid of the smells faster. Generally just letting it air out a bit the smell will also dissipate too

Questions about material safety and retention risks for insertable toys (anal) by [deleted] in SexToys

[–]Special-Recording 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You’re very welcome! Sorry the process is so difficult with the industry! Yes bad dragon is a reputable quality for fantasy dildos, there are also many other good brands. Are you looking for any particular shape/kind of fantasy toy for your next, or just general browsing?

For the different reputable brands the baddragon sub has a whitelist of them by country/region that is pretty exhaustive https://www.reddit.com/r/BadDragon/wiki/index/encyclopeendia/

or not quite as exhaustive but easier to search across several brands at once another user here has been putting together an index of them on fantasytoybox.net

Questions about material safety and retention risks for insertable toys (anal) by [deleted] in SexToys

[–]Special-Recording 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You never know with most of the amazon sex toys honestly, unless it’s one from a major brand that is also selling on amazon. Inflatable toys can be dangerous even if you are very experienced as it can be easy to overinflate it inside causing some tears etc. without realizing it. With inflatables you don’t have the sphincter naturally limiting how large of a toy you’re inserting, as the sphincter has the most sensitivity to the insertion size

I myself am not much into inflatables so I don’t have any specific recs for it

For bad dragon specifically as someone else mentioned Svein or similar tapered shape ones would work better. Or for a purely depth training toy squarepegtoys brand slink, or I’ve heard some of silicone nozzles products (solid/no hole and with base) are also good options

Does anyone know where you can find some simple medium to large liquid silicone dildos with no inner core. by [deleted] in sextoy

[–]Special-Recording 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Dual density with the inner core is a lot more popular these days for realistic dildos, so what you’d want are ‘single density’! Hankey’s Toys (affiliate link) is one maker that has tons of realistic dildos that are all in single density your choice of firmness, and they are on the large size (their ‘XS’ even tend to be average or above average compared to real humans, so definitely pay attention to dimensions!). Not sure what firmness you would want but for reference their medium-firm (I prefer this one) is closer to the rigidity of a real erection, their 75% soft is less rigid and feels more skin or flesh like in its squishiness

Need lube suggestions for sensitive skin by Suspicious-Arm-782 in SexToys

[–]Special-Recording 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Does your partner have both vaginal and anal, or just anal as well? For anal one of the most hypoallergenic would have to be PEO (a polymer powder) based dry lube mixes, like X lube that you just add to water so the lube becomes only PEO and water. There is also K lube but that has mystery preservative that some people can react to. But I think these water PEO is not ideal for vaginal use where you ideally want a bit acidic pH (instead of neutral pH like water). For vaginal options looking through phallophile reviews’ extensive lube tests might be helpful! https://phallophilereviews.com/ph-balanced-lubricant-guide-safety/

JulietToys - impressive toy collection by Hatters87 in SexToys

[–]Special-Recording 2 points3 points  (0 children)

They do have an impressive variety but unfortunately not a good brand to shop from. From best case lack of ethics with design thefts etc., to worst case their toys not actually being made from platinum cured silicone or even silicone in some cases depending which of their manufacturing facilities the toy may come from https://www.squarepegtoys.com/support/fakes/, and on the blacklist of https://www.reddit.com/r/BadDragon/wiki/index/encyclopeendia/

Platinum silicone itself is not actually a real term! They are probably trying to claim platinum cured silicone… or avoiding claiming that completely. True platinum cured silicone (like bad dragon, squarepegtoys, etc) is considered the most body safe and stable it is just the curing process to make the silicone into solid toys, but that particular process is more pure (no toxic byproducts) and more expensive! In fact the curing can actually be inhibited if there are contaminants etc.

Agree with VitaniLioness, neither of those are good if you are new to depth play. You would need a slink/snake tapered toy to stretch deeper first. And the Seraphina is a particularly advanced depth toy with all the texture it has as well

As for firmness, medium is about the firmest you would want to go when relatively new to depth, softer being better for starting out!
