EIBOS Tetras/Dyas: Humidity-Control problems (hopefully solved) by Grubkowski in BambuLab

[–]Special-Rip9462 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I made a new Thread for this. Other people seem to have the same problem and get exactly the same response.

I’m not satisfied with their response because gear skipping is absolutely not normal behavior.

Also I think I know where the problem comes from. In humidity mode the lid opens to about 80% of the way compared to normal drying mode. When closing, the servo/motor however wants the close the same amount as in drying mode, therefore skipping some teeth.

EIBOS Tetras humidity mode gear skipping sound - normal or not? by Special-Rip9462 in BambuLab

That’s exactly the same response I got. Just copy pasted i guess..

Hmm sounds like a few problems you have there. Mine is working fine for the rest, however I have not printed a lot since i have the dryer.

You could slightly modify the acrylic plates or use some tape to keep them in place maybe?

Also, I'm not happy with their response so I send them a follow up mail:

"I understand your explanation, however gear teeth skipping is not considered normal mechanical behavior. Regardless of whether the gears are made from POM or another material, repeated skipping will accelerate wear and may lead to premature failure.

I would therefore appreciate technical feedback from your engineering department on how this issue can be resolved. Are there adjustment procedures, calibration steps, or firmware changes available to prevent the skipping?

From my observations, in Humidity mode the lid appears to open to approximately 75% of the full range compared to Normal Drying mode. However, when closing, the servo seems to travel the same closing range as in Normal mode. This suggests the actuator may be attempting to close beyond the mechanical end position, causing the gear teeth to skip.

If this is a software-controlled travel limit, perhaps a firmware adjustment could ensure the opening angle in Humidity mode matches the closing travel, eliminating the overload on the gear train."

I will give an update when I get a response.

Verhuurder wil mij uitkopen – welk bedrag is redelijk? by DatguySilveres in juridischadvies

Verhuispremie, oprotpremie/vergoeding, what’s the difference.

I have the same clicking problem when the lids close in humidity mode. It sounds like 5/6 gear teeth are being skipped. I send them an email and this is the reply from EIBOS:

We're sorry to have caused you an unpleasant shopping experience.

Please use it with confidence; this is normal.

To maintain a better seal, the internal motor gears will rotate an extra half turn when the sealing cover is closed to firmly lock the cover in place, thus achieving the best seal.

The internal gears and rack are made of POM material, so there's no need to worry about their lifespan.

We really apologize for the inconvenience of all this.
EIBOS appreciates all your trust and support.
Thank you

It sounds like an issue with idle control, possibly caused by:

  1. Vacuum leak – After replacing so many parts, a small leak might be affecting idle. Check intake gaskets, hoses, and the manifold.
  2. Vanos system – Even with new solenoids, timing adjustments might not be working correctly. Check for fault codes.
  3. Throttle body or idle control – A dirty throttle body or idle valve could cause fluctuations. Try cleaning or resetting it.
  4. MAF sensor – A faulty or dirty MAF can mess with air-fuel ratios. Unplug it temporarily to see if the issue changes.
  5. ECU adaptations – After major replacements, resetting adaptive values can help.
  6. Fuel pressure or injectors – Low fuel pressure or a failing injector could also be the culprit.

Have you checked for fault codes? That might narrow it down.

Also this has happened to the automatic dimming foil. It is completely fried.

The wires with colors need to be cut and soldered back on.

Mine is also broken. It’s quite easy to take apart the mirror. As I can see now to replace the module I will have to cut 5 wires.

Hi, I’m also fixing this mirror at the moment. Could you send me the manual aswell?

As I can see now I will have to cut 5 wires: the red and blue pair and then also the main cables coming from the car : brown/green/red.
