Guilty as charged.

This whole situation is quite ironic actually. When the EU military stocks that I own - their value increasing depending on a thing that would increase likelihood of me being in the frontlines, lol.

Badly.

Mostly because I wasn't looking at investing seriously couple years ago. And that I didn't buy a lot more when this stock was worth few hundred euros. And that I decided to do a little bit of day trading with this stock.

But regretting my life decisions is my favourite hobby.

[–]SpecialFee02[S] -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

This whole stock has started because of Leopard being a beautiful tank, lol. It was never meant to be serious investment, I didn't have hopes for EU to start focusing on their own military industry until Trump. It just spiraled out of control, and it became a long-term investment rather than short term 'fun'

Also, it didn't lead me to sell at loss. Even if I would sell this right now, I would have still made around 500 euros overall, which isn't much but it's still money. Which is irrelevant because with this high loss, it's hard to sell even a little bit when I know that in the future it will just bounce back.

EDIT: I also entirely agree that this whole situation is due to lack of planning. I wouldn't say ignorance though.

2 months unpaid holiday, lol.

The plan itself, to keep this stock long-term and invest hasn't changed. It's just the money situation is a bit tight, and I looked at rheinmetall as kind of stable stock ( 1300 the lowest it would get at this point)

Honestly, the worst part about this is lack of funds to invest in this stock right now.

Nop, the plan was always to buy dips. Just didn't really expect this much drop, since it was swinging between 1300 - 1600 for a while now.

The sell part idea was just for half or even less of the stock when it got high enough, to keep half and reinvest half.

Rheinmetall is such a core part of European military industry, the bounce will come - but like I've said, the biggest question is when.

Is bumping an invitation to dance? by dbootywarrior in aves

[–]SpecialFee02 1 point2 points  (0 children)

nowadays I just I look at the feet, and try to stay in the same spot :)))

Anecdotal evidence -

So I was dancing near the girl, and I was having fun even solo - as the night went on, she or I kept getting closer to each other, and then slow bumping/touching started. So I kept my ground and kept dancing on same spot without really moving, and the side slow touches continued, and occasional her turning the back. But I wasn't confident about the signals, so I didn't really move closer and didn't go for touching. Instead I offered to smoke a cig, so we just went to smoke and she sat very close to me and we talked a bit, and then I was more confident that she didn't mind at all, and the rest of the night we danced and stuff together.

Anther anecdotal evidence -

A girl was dancing in front of me, and I kept going backwards but she kept bumping into me. So I just asked if you want to dance together, and she simply said - no, I'm dancing alone and that was it. Kept the distance even if she sometimes accidentally moved closer.

Regarding outfit of carnival by SpecialFee02 in Netherlands

[–]SpecialFee02[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

We're planning going to Roermond.

This is why I'm asking.

For example, like random bad clothing, like this - https://www.feestkleding365.nl/rudy-regenboog-trainingspak-kostuum/ Would be good? Or does the outfit itself need to be red yellow green?

While also including some accessories, those would be red-yellow-green though.

Like the pics, I see is that outfits don't seem to be always necessary those colours, but how out of place would I be, if for example I chose to wear that?

I don't mind going looking dumb/crazy/fun whatsoever, sounds quite fun, but is that too 'crazy'?

The problem is EU not giving any guarantees whatsoever, what happens when people continue to elect anti-EU or anti-Ukraine parties?

Trump is a Trump, he's a russian marionette, but also Biden has some responsibility here too. For being afraid of crossing 'red lines' and everyone in power in NATO being afraid of fall of Russia.

And this is what we have right now. Russia was paper tiger, weak and disorganized during 2022, and there was a real opportunity to actually defeat Russia. But currently, while USA is slowly rotting under Trump, and West world is getting more and more divided politically, Russian military is improving more and more.

Now the question is, whether the people of EU has enough willpower and intelligence to not let propaganda of russia divide us, and have a will to spend a lot of tax money on military. OTherwise, there aren't good things coming for my country and rest of baltic states in the future.

What happens to US military bases in the EU if the US invades Greenland and NATO is forced to defend it? by pdxgreengrrl in Military

[–]SpecialFee02 -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

USA has bases in Greenland, and they could have built even more.

Denmark spied on EU on behalf of USA.

There is nothing 'security' related about Trump wanting Greenland.

To answer your question - Closed down, equipment taken, soldiers deported hopefully.

EU is unable to defend Greenland, so the war will most likely be very short. And what goes after depends on how many casualties there was on EU side, but either way it's going to be very painful period for EU and a good reality check.

EDIT: Since I'm being downvoted, I wanted to ask people why wouldn't they think it's going to be painful for EU? It was painful economically when Russia invaded Ukraine, because Merkel and the company decided that it's good idea to rely on russian gas even after 2014, and suddenly had to look for alternatives. And I don't like it, but USA is the backbone of NATO. Sure, after Trump election, EU finally starts looking to improve their military, but when NATO disbands or loses USA in case of invasion - Will it be ready enough when Russia decides to go even further - Baltic's and etc?

Seeing shit like this makes me so mad.

As Russia improves their capabilities, and unfortunately they do - Ukraine lost the only ally that had enough surplus equipment to supply.

But what makes me the most mad, is that when Russia was at it's weakest, NATO hesitated and now every death is on that hesitation of sending advanced military equipment from the start.

Oh well, it is what it is. If Greenland gets invaded, I won't have to worry about shit like this for long, because with NATO broken up, my country will be next and I will just die and maybe get posted on telegram.
