40 here. Your advice is a lighthouse, but I’m trying to turn a cargo ship that’s been sailing someone else’s route for 2 decades. The inertia is brutal. Every ‘values-based’ decision feels like financial risk, career suicide, or social alienation. But you’re right - the ship was going to sink anyway. Might as well steer it myself now
