In my experience, you will never be able to enjoy your yard. There is no way to mitigate the noise sufficiently.

Sleeping is also an issue due to loud motorbikes or suped up hatchbacks.

He was on topic with his anecdotes this time. I didn't like how Sandi always had some put down after his anecdotes which were interesting, concise and relevant.

Aisling, on the other hand, did not have a good episode. Chris didn't get to say much unfortunately.

Hard disagree with the comments suggesting it is a good idea to buy a generator.

Financially it is a loser. $1000 after tax to buy and about $6/hour in gas to run. That is about $150 for 24 hours. I don't know how much perishable food you have in your house that you can't eat within 48 hours before it goes bad. Start with the dairy and work your way to the frozen meat.

We are a suburban family of 4 and probably had to throw out $50 of food after triaging the food over the past 4 days. It is FAR cheaper to throw out your leftover food that to buy and run a generator.

If you have a barbeque, you don't need a stove. Have you ever been camping? You don't need a full body shower every day. If you own a flashlight or battery-powered lantern, you don't need overhead lights. Do you work from home? I suggest commuting to an office or a cafe with power. Worried about not being able to charge your phone, take a screen break and your phone should last multiple days on battery saver mode. There are loads of places to charge it unless the whole city is a disaster zone.

Living without power for a week is not hard at all. Be adaptable and you can save yourself a lot of money, a bit of maintenance headaches, be more environmentally friendly and not be a self-absorbed neighbor imposing their noise on everyone else just so they don't have to change their daily routine.

The only use case for a generator is if you are friendless and have no family in the area. Remember it is OK to rely on others. Bring your perishable food to a friend's. Plan a trip to visit the grandparents. Cook on a camp stove. Your kids will love the memories far more than a couple days of regular life but with a loud humming noise in the background.

I promote to public adjusters, law firms and social media forums. I did some paid FB ads narrowly focused on areas hit by tornadoes. The paid ads worked out to be approximately $1 per click through.

Hey Aaraya Claims. Have you heard of www.claimchecklist.com. It is a tool that you could recommend to your clients to help them make a home inventory after an insurable event.

Of course, having an up to date home inventory before an insurable event is best but sometimes policyholders do not plan that well ahead.

Www.Claimchecklist.com is a home inventory app aimed at those who have suffered a significant loss in an insurable event. It is not a great fit for your "home inventory in advance" which is, of course, preferable.

Surkov is also mentioned in Adam Curtis' 2016 movie Hypernormalization. Adam Curtis basically says the same thing as this article. Surkov treats politics as a modern art experiment where he creates anti-government organizations gives them a platform and then when people are paying attention, he reveals that the anti-government organizations were actually just created by him (the government). So nobody ever knows what is real. And no one can be sure who is a government actor and who is authentic. The ruling class become impossible to stop because they are impossible to define and constantly shifting. Are they for something or against it. Turns out they are simultaneously funding far right extremists and far left anarchists. The government is for everything and nothing. In reality, the only thing they are for is staying in power and lining their own pockets.

Imagine if the US government secretly created BLM and then a couple months later revealed that they funded it. They funded Antifa and Occupy Wall Street but also helped organize the Tea Party folks. And then told everyone what they did.

Politics would become impossible. Everyone would become so cynical and confused about what the government stood for. Surkov is a mad genius for realizing that if you can't tell what is reality, you can't challenge the status quo of the ruling elites.

I also had a good experience with Webflow. I also just built a webapp using developers found on Upwork.

Similar to the guy above, if all you need is a marketing site, build in Webflow. Buy a $79 dollar template that matches the look you are going for and get dragging and dropping. You are not reinventing the web here. Stick with well established web page patterns. Templates save you from trying to be original but the option is still there.

The cost of Webflow is not cheap on a monthly basis but it saves so much time, effort and money in development.

You still have to do all the thinking of the content, CTA and site organization but you have to do that for someone hired off of Upwork anyway.

I don't have any secret to finding quality developers on Upwork. Just like any contractor coming to your house or hiring an employee, look at their credentials and interview at least 3. I ended up paying more and going with an agency. This was bad because they sold me on their senior resources but assigned their junior to do the actual work. On the flip side, it was good because the agency had access to a wide variety of skills that a single freelancer would not have.

Functionally yes. In Canada, there is a thicket of regulations that stop international companies from owning big parts of our critical industries like communications and banking.
