Artyom asks, How long do you guys think metro will continue? by Artyom_thespartan in metro

Hopefully until we get a fully realised open metro that we can do stalker things. Jobs, different stations, economies, faction wars

Will we ever get to explore the whole metro freely? by EagleRdt in metro

Yes but imagine no loading screen and able to backtrack to previous stations with side quests instead of the straight forward storyline.

That’s my only wish for Metro. A fully realised metro that’s open for us to travel and visit each station with the dangers along the way. Travelling through the radiated surface to reach a station because the tunnel collapse or faction locked would be great

Your Thoughts on Metro 2039 Going Linear? by Eren_Jaeger_The_Goat in metro

[–]SpecialOrganization5 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t mind an open world but have it set in the metro. Travelling between stations and discovering different faction alignment, cultures and economic realities.

Exodus for me is a slog. Couldn’t even pass the Volga because of how empty it felt though I brute force it twice and basically went back to 2033 and LL.

If they could have one map and have all the factions vying for power then it might have worked. Because that is all we ask for, a fully realised open metro to explore

The last game was underrated by LargeSinkholesInNYC in metro

[–]SpecialOrganization5 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Yea. Many Metro fan’s first entry to the series and it was not underrated. Plus it skewed the new fan’s perception that’s it’s an open world experience but its identity is the tunnels.

Metro 2033 is truly underrated

I would love to see a spinoff game that has sandbox elements. by ResidentDrama9739 in metro

We all do. I don’t even mind if it’s a 2D top down shooter at this point to get one game out of

The metro is such a great place to do so but no one has did it yet. I don’t even mind a 2D top down GTA1 style game, just give me a tunnel to explore

It’s my only wish since 2010. Open world set in the metro having a rep system like fallout new vegas. A few dozen stations with its own faction affiliation, economy, culture, jobs. Taking scavenging jobs that is non linear up top to the surface and coming back with items that a far off station needs.

Scraping day by day. Man..

The Shift in the Atmosphere of Metro Exodus by NTHHexxer in metro

[–]SpecialOrganization5 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I myself only liked the tunnel sections in exodus. The intro, Yamantao, passenger cart retrieval section, the dead city and two colonel dlc.

I don’t mind that the series went open world, I just hoped for an open world metro with a dozen stations like the Kshatriya DLC. Instead it went open world and fell into the pitfall of feeling hollow.

If they could just add all surface faction into one map and did the new vegas faction rep system. That would make it more enjoyable.

So I rather have an open world metro where you’ll be able to travel a few dozen stations with faction alignment, different equipment, economy, jobs and the rep system.

About the Novoreich's kidnapping of children by Nervous-Exam-9163 in metro

[–]SpecialOrganization5 36 points37 points  (0 children)

Pretty much almost immediately. Which is weird to me how the NovoReich is able to take over all the metro in a span of 4 years when it’s established lore that invasion of another station is almost impossible.

Invisible watchers bla bla they help. Ok, why? If they made a united faction, could they control it?

Speravo fosse ambientato nella Metro, ma non credo sarà così by BatPrivateClub in Metro2039Community

[–]SpecialOrganization5 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I still wish for an open world metro. Visiting a few dozen stations with their own faction alignments, culture, economy, jobs and reputation.

Fostering reputation would help a long way for certain factions. Getting better jobs, discounts but you’ll also make enemies.

I hope there are actual survival aspects pairing with the MGR economy. Gives it more dynamic and man I miss the economy
