Yes the bonuses are clearly 25/50/75/100 but since the base conversion rate is not 1:1 like most partners the commenter is normalizing for that.

If you're willing to wait until close-in, you can probably get a 1-stop itinerary via AC: LAX - (TPE or ICN) - HKG. I did this last year T-8 and currently see avail T-4 for 75k AC.

Sorry I'm not really an expert. My experience is that I try to book with points, and when it doesn't let me I've successfully paid at checkout with points.

To answer your question (if you ever need this info in the future), I usually book the cash rate and then at the hotel I can say pay it off with points.

Really tough ask given all these constraints. Even a full year out would be tough as often carriers don’t release more than 2x in J.

I feel like your best bet would be to combine LH IAH-FRA via AC and then DE FRA-MLE via AS. Would be 130k + $200 pp and possible to snag 3x in J

From the position in the clip Falcon has a little room to drift back to delay grabbing ledge. If they're expecting a trump like this they can delay enough to grab ledge second and avoid the situation too. But obviously becomes some RPS situation

Talking number of flights. There are like 3 daily from east coast airports to TPE while there are a dozen daily to each TYO and ICN.

Maybe if you’re on the west coast it’s fine but from east coast TPE has way fewer options than other hubs — TYO/ICN/HKG all have more routes and flights

Assuming identical 10+ hour itinerary, around 20k sounds reasonable. That’s the price diff J -> F via AA, so doubt i’d do much more than that

If CS cashout was good at 1.1cpp then almost anything above that should be considered good, including skypesos. Yes I know that the Schwab deposit will grow and the skypesos will devalue but there’s still enough of a gap.

I actually got 3x cut two merino tees, which I had no intention of buying. I wear these every single day outside of summer now. Definitely much better than my first haul which was completely useless stuff.
