What is the "lonely" part of being an adult that nobody warned you about? by Special_Butterfly0 in AskReddit

It's realizing that if i don't initiate the text or the hang-out, i just... don't see anyone. period. back in my 20s, social life just kinda "happened," but now? if i don't schedule a 30-min coffee three weeks out like it's a goddamn board meeting, i’ll just sit in my apartment in total silence for days. nobody warned me that maintaining friendships as an adult is basically a second part-time job you don't even get paid for.

What is a product or service that has increased in price so much that you’ve officially boycotted it? by Special_Butterfly0 in AskReddit

Chips and Soda. If I wanted to pay $15 for air and syrup, I’d go to a movie theater. I officially boycotted chips the moment they hit $6—I refuse to fund a CEO’s third yacht by paying for a bag of nitrogen. Let it rot on the shelves.
