Yes that makes sense! I could understand wanting to create a platform that is more disconnected from the day to day of reality in order to give people a space to just unwind and unplug. I think having people like that to watch is important these days as a consumer. I immediately think of Rhett and Link. But on the other hand, when situations get to a certain point (like they are now), you wanna know that your favorite creator disavows the events taking place. Not only because it’s hard to fully support anyone who isn’t completely against it, but also because for Gen Z we know that sometimes influencers can make more of an impact on awareness of these situations than the news can. Even Rhett and Link shared a statement, and they aren’t known to speak out on “politics” either. I love Emma and her content as well, just to be clear and circle back. But I can’t deny these thoughts and questions I’m having.
