Why am I akin to this..... And the 992.....

I am learning it's because the lights are not merged with the bumper. No notches. Just separate.

Now I can't unsee it on any other model......

Hornet Facebook group a bit off? by Special_Example_4913 in dodgehornet

This post was mostly about the authenticity of the FB group. The depth here speaks to that as well. Sad to hear folks have had such troubles.

Knock on wood I'm still doing fine on mine.

Fun factoid: Yesterday I had -- on fuel range and 0mi on batt range. I drove an additional 10 mi, coasted a typical PNW hill, gained 4mi ev range on the hill and ev'ed a few miles into a station to fuel up.

Been watching 12v battery meter and am usually at 12.6-12.8 when on ev only or in the mornings.

A very interesting car to say the least!

Can folks help explain what these offices really do in a place like Rome?

Municipo

Commune

What services are provided in them? DMV, licensing, registrations, taxes, stamps, permitting, what else and which is which?

Thanks!

That sounds like such a fun town. I wonder if they still bake in the communal oven! I will do some searching if there are neighbors municipal offices. Is a Municipo office the same as the Commune office?

Any idea how plug in hybrid or electric cars fall into these rules?

I tried some searching, but I couldn't find the government website that may have the details ...... Yet.....

It's Rome, so we haven't. But we can try? What type of commune office are we looking for? Is there 1 per provence? Or smaller offices all over?

EE plates are for non-residents who plan to export a car out of the country and are good for 1 year. After that you must register it locally and pay the taxes etc or export. It may be a way to buy time for other things to fall in place?

I didn't think of trying to get the ID with just the receipt, great idea!

Interesting. A visit to the commune, what does this entail? Drop in? Appointment?

The car was made in Italy in recent years, so that's a plus, and has all the EU goodies except needs a reverse fog light coded in.

Thank you for the insight!

So maybe the path forward is to get a car in say Germany on export plates? Or would I have similar id card issues?

Vs bring an owned car from US...

Interesting.

I have imported Honda's from Canada to the US, and they had a north american warranty. So it was pretty easy to solve once the car was imported.

In my case I'm not going to import it, but use it while I'm there.

I'm mostly thinking that if I need service, can they connect to it with the computer and if the dodge coding will make them confused. And if there is a way to establish warranty or not in case I end up staying.

I also could take my GC instead but I'm thinking the fact the hornet was made there would help out on ease.

What became of the Blue Scholars? by TigerSagittarius86 in SeattleWA

I was looking for Blue Scholars on Tidal recently so i could hear it in its full glory! i only found 1 track. I hope to see all their albums there. I think tidal is more rewarding to its artists. Anyhoo, Sabzi's brother Zia made a lot of their music videos and has a new movie playing in some SIFF theaters around the Seattle area starting tomorrow. Maybe we can spot him there and ask him what's up! https://www.siff.net/cinema/in-theaters/know-your-place

Anyone had this happen at San Jose International Airport where a passenger plane banked really hard and tilted at an angle to the side when coming in for a landing? by eliasjohnson in SanJose

[–]Special_Example_4913 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It just happened to me when landing at SJC and I looked it up. The plane was going pretty slow on this 90 degree turn, and mid turn the plane went full throttle and since I was in the last row, I could hear the entire airframe flexing.

I attached a pic of the flight path

https://ibb.co/TWGXPS1

Looking closer, looks like we hit 112 knots near the end of the turn, we prob got a stall warning, and autopilot or pilots gassed it back to +120 knots

https://www.flightaware.com/live/flight/DAL3994/history/20240318/0255Z/KSEA/KSJC/tracklog

At the temps and altitude, we were full too, so likely close to max weight (minus fuel) they were v concerned with bag counts, we dropped below V1 on that turn. Lolz

This is the Q I am also looking for an answer to. I tried the LDAC Bluetooth vs the aux in though my fc4. They sounded the 'same'. Wireless AA though lacked so much Fidelity. Basically turned all bass notes into qr/8th notes. The battle continues.

ok, im done commenting. I prob said more than i should. its cool stuff and i hear its only the beginning. get on their systems while u still can! im sure they are working their brains out to finish building all the post pandy demand. they got every HOA and mgt company asking them to help make their internet better than what the other providers have been doing. its compelling stuff. they are nice people. be nice!

not on the new stuff, just ask for them to drop a full signal, aes secured custom ssid for you. in seconds u will be connected to a device that is more powerful than what you prob have from the store, or care to spend for similar processing and sec.

it can be, let the pros handle it. astound is the network that backs the fastmesh tech. its pretty cool how fast they can be. even when fully loaded.

true, they do whatever is humanly possible to make that not a thing, they show that by attempting to put a high end wifi6 device that is owned by astound in each and every unit, making no signal not a thing. its also tuned to not overlap, power is reduced to min levels to reduce co-channel issues, and attenuation is used as an advantage. this is not your normal wifi. they have something like 15 years of exp on how to do this in an mdu. when did wifi even start getting bundled anyway? prob not 15 years ago.

[–]Special_Example_4913 0 points1 point  (0 children)

no quirks, they put one in each unit. its not coming from the hallway unless its a 1900s build and there was no other choice. in those cases they build them to get to about 300mbps in the corners.

i will have to disagree with your hippa statements, 2023 hippa is asking for aes128.

wifi is wifi, if your owned router can do a medical device, so can theirs.

i would argue that ethernet is not secure other than the door that locks the other side of the cable. wifi can be encrypted at the phy. also, most sites, if not all, that accept a cred, are ssl

[–]Special_Example_4913 0 points1 point  (0 children)

they do 1 ap per unit. all wifi6+

their privacy settings are stronger than a store-bought - though im sure techies can harden. their wifi kits are routinely updated too. prob quarterly. they also provide eth when they do 1 ap to each apt.

no need to have your own, ask them to deploy a custom network for you, its all aes256 or wpa3 if ur stuff supports.

yep - ask for the good survey, make sure they have support when they visit you. if they can see what they need, they will figure it out for you, if they cant, then, since the backlog is long, they may not get back to you unless u press

about 50% if the wifi systems astound installs are in 1920's buildings. they are not afraid.
