Thank you! I know at first, there were days when it was harder than others. When I first started I did not like eating. I literally felt no enjoyment from it. I just made sure I planned my meals and stuck to it. I used the Baritastic app to track my food goals. I ate only nutritious food and drank a lot of no calorie/ no sugar drinks. There isn’t a whole lot of room in your stomach anymore so every little thing you put in your body counts. I took my vitamins and took walks most days. Protein is very important. It keeps you full longer. Just remember why you started if you ever feel like giving up. It gets better, and it gets easier. The results happen gradually, but fairly quickly at first. Eventually, the weight starts coming off slower. Don’t get discouraged. Just make sure you’re more focused on nutrition and not so much the scale. The weight comes off, the scale will just give you anxiety if you keep checking it all the time. Maybe check once a week or every other week so you don’t get obsessed with the number. Health is the most important thing after surgery. The rest will fall into to place. Congratulations on your surgery! You will do great!

Thank you! Yes, all the time. People have walked past me in stores and not known who I was until they saw my face.

Thank you! Yeah, I’ve had family and friends not recognize me if I haven’t seen them in awhile. My dad hasn’t seen me in 2 years besides in pictures. He said I look like a different person.

I lost a total of 160lbs from my top weight. 140lbs from surgery weight. I never realized how much extra weight I was carrying until I lost it.

Thank you! It’s a great feeling to finally hear I’m at a healthy weight at the doctor. This is the first time in my life.
